not to be a downer, but playing well vs Belize is no accomplishment. It is however good to see this team beat the teams they should beat, and soundly.

Very true, but that's why the US, as well as most of the top teams in this tournement, are playing their B teams.

I think they said Belize only has like 3 professional players on the team, and the rest of them are amateurs. They had to have fundraisers like BBQ's and car washes and stuff just to get the team to the tournement. They also got a large part of their funds from the donate to the team feature on their website. Crazy.

s**t, that's better than Tahiti in the Confederations Cup who I'm pretty sure were fully made of teachers and the such. Oh, and they had to play vs Spain, who were also kind enough to play their "B" squad. They only lost 10-0

Love seeing him take advantage of his first real opportunity, no matter the opponent. All he does is score!

Yeah, he's been on the staffs s**t list since he missed that easy goal against panama a couple years back. Pretty much the same shot as his first goal yesterday.

Remember it well. Would love to see him carve out a role for WC, at least as a second half sub seeing 30+ minutes a game.

I'd be stoked if he got in the rotation like that. With the full squad on the sideline, I don't expect him to start, but a second have sub to spark the offense would be awesome.
