2nd rumor of the day. Dennis Erickson to Utah as an assistant offensive coach? That would be nice actually! Need some experience within the Pac on our staff. Help mold the 27 year old Brian Johnson as OC.

Personally I like it. And that seems to be the consensus amongst us. We have BJ who has a great offensive mind but is only 27 years old. He still is learning and at the moment I think having the offense square on his shoulders is too much for him. He needs a guy to come in and show him how to handle certain situations and how to build a Pac 12 caliber offense. That's what I like about it.

Others are saying this is just like hiring of Norm Chow. Nothing really is going to come out of it. Don't really get that side of the spectrum because Norm was hired as full time OC while Erickson is there to assist Brian Johnson.

I think were getting caught up slowly with the speed and sheer size of the pack, but our philosophies are still stuck in MWC mode. Hopefully this can help us put a mark in the conference and start playing Pac 12 football. Again, were still not a Pac 12 team, and I think this is why we made the move.

I also think Travis Wilson somewhat resembles a young Osweiler(horrendous sp), so hopefully we can get some of the same type of results.

Edit: ANd just maybe we might stop getting stomped by you guys. Tired of that s**t.

Keep in mind it was Noel Mazzone that really got the offense and Brock Oz going. He is the OC at UCLA now. Mazzone also coached Rivers at NC State, so he is a QB guru. We will see how WIlson does, obviously a tall and athletic guy, I think having a guy in there the whole season instead of the revolving door will help a lot though. You guys are due for someone on offense to break out.

Saving for last, in June

Gonna do ACC 1st and 2nd team (March), Big 12 1st and 2nd team (April), and then Big 10 1st and 2nd team (May).

Right now my lists are way early, could have injuries in Spring Ball or guys emerging. But hey, its fun to take an early look at. And I'll be excited to see my pre-season teams compared to the experts.

Its interesting that Manziel, Gurley, Yeldon, Amari Cooper and Mike Evans were all freshman last year. All I think will be 1st team SEC players as sophmores .
