(NBA) Who's got the best fadeaway in today's game? (Besides KB)

Yeah many more Guards in today's game have got it down, but Dirk has definitely mastered it as well, Sports Science proved that it's literally almost impossible (or at least, to find a human that can) to block his fadeaway shot.

7 ft tall, fading back, need a pretty long wingspan to contest that... and if you notice, you get too close to Dirk to try and block, you can get kneed/kicked because of that leg extension, so it's a lose-lose situation trying to guard that.

Dirk's is better than Kobe's. There are times Kobe has to pass out it. Dirk, no need to pass out of it.

so Dirk's is better ... because he's taller?

Not just because he's taller. Dude's just as money on that shot...just as good as Kobe. So the next level would be who can execute with more ease and it's Dirk. I've seen Kobe get stuck and pass out of it whereas Dirk rarely passes out of that shot.

b******t

Who hits it with more ease? Yeah Dirk. But if we talk about consistency and clutch effectiveness of the shot, I'll give them both the equal amount of credit b/c Kobe's proved himself and that fadeaway useful in crunch time, as has Dirk.

Dirk has it easier, but of course we can't take away from his game and say that's why Kobe's is better, no. Rather, I'd rest at this point and say that Kobe makes the more difficult fadeaways (in the sense that he's shooting over double teams and off balance, against people his height or taller), while Dirk just rises up, fades back, throws the ball up to God, and he throws it in.

Equal effectiveness, but it's hard to say who does it better since both have success with it. According to Kobe during a game, he says.. "Dirk does it well but I do it better, mine a lil sexier!" - referring to Dirk's one-leg fade. Now that one is patented by Dirk and is forever his, Kobe's just great at imitating and making your project look better while he remodels it, just look at how he's taken Jordan's fade and messed around with it.
Definitely Dirk. LeBron's developed a very nice fadeaway in the last year or so as well.
Joe Johnson too. He gets a lot of (well deserved) flak for being overpaid but his fade his pretty automatic when he's got it going

I've to go with Dirk after Kobe. Dirk's fade away going left is unstoppable.

Joe Johnson is not even close to being in this discussion
dirk, easily
I agree with the People who say Dirk. When that shot is on he is unstoppable.
What do you guys think is the toughest shot in the game of basketball?

The 3 ball has definitely been on the rise ever since the 90's, even forwards and centers are knocking them down now so I'd say it's gotten easier for the most part.

The sky hook.

I agree. It's why we've only seen pretty much one player ever master it.
Dirk spends his offseason king crab fishing, and he still has a better fadeaway than the guys who spend all summer in the gym working on that shot

Totally. To me, it's like a golf swing. Feels so awkward unless you truly practice it.
Dirks shot looks great so far

And I just died laughing at the pic that Sixth posted

He's still shooting a better percentage than Kobe has in the playoffs up to this point.
