And Pence is going to very quietly end the year with some pretty solid numbers. Where was this last year and the beginning of this year when we were playing well and needed a .290 average, 20 bombs, 80 RBI?

Absolute great performance from Petit last night. Just came up short...or Pence just came up short. I thought he had that man. His control is just awesome. He hits the low corners like Vogey was the first great year.

They'll definitely give him every opportunity next year. Even before last night he was pitching well so he's forced his way into the 2014 picture.
