Damn that Romo. Danimal is right. He sucks. A runner reached base tonight.

Just because one gets a ton of saves and has sick movement on his breaking pitches and pitches with heart and a chip on his shoulder does not make him closer material.

You are right my friend. Anyone can strike out Miguel Cabrera to win the WS. Giants need to get someone 6 foot 5 who throws 100MPH to close games.

Miggy struck out because he's used to facing real closers. When Romo threw that "fastball" Miggy was like WTF is this slow ass straight pitch!?!? OMG. Pure luck and no skill at all. I could have struck Miggy out in that situation with my blistering 62 mph fastball.

So you would prefer he get the meaningless AB's in LF.
Id prefer Brett Pill not get any more AB's. We know what he is. Hes a good AAA player who will never be a Major League regular. They should send Pill back down and bring up Gary Brown. Just see what he looks like in the big leagues, sink or swim. We have to start finding out what we have.

1-0 win, that old school G'S baseball. Timmy is really figuring this "pitching" thing out. Pagan sparks the win, sure did miss him. And since he was gone for so long, is signed by us to a multi-year deal and is our CF next year, glad to see him back in there getting work.
Now I can't wait until Sept gets here so we can call some kids up and get a look. If we don't call Brown up in Sept, I never want to hear his name again. Lol

Wow
He was the best performer on the league's best team. It's also interesting that all 5 of the low-level teams made the playoffs and 4 of these teams (San Jose, Augusta, Salem-Keizer and the AZL) have/had the best overall records in their respective leagues. The other lower-level team, the DSL Giants, won their division but finished with the 4th best record in a 35-team league. Says a lot about some of the talent coming up from the lower minors.

Richmond will be really good next year because of the talent infusion from SJ/Augusta...Fresno, not so much. It's all about pitching and all the really good pitching will be in Richmond and below next season.
