This team has money?

Not as much as the Dodgers

If money mattered, the Yankees wouldve won almost every WS in the last decade.

Dont kid yourself 99. Money does matter. It just has to be spend wisely. The Yankees havent done that in years. The Dodgers would not be in this position without a huge payroll.

The main reason the Dodgers are winning is Clayton Kershaw and Yasiel Puig. Puig is what ignited them from a last place slumber. Their super lineup couldnt hit a beach ball with a tennis racket last year, and this year up until Puig was called up. It took money to sign Puig, but not a ton, and Kershaw is homegrown.

The Dodgers spend a ton of money to get Adrian Gonzalez. They had to take on huge contracts from Crawford and Beckett to even get a chance for Gonzalez. He has been the most consistent hitter on that team. Their pitching staff became the best in the league after they went out and spent a fortune on Greinke and Rhu. The ONLY reason that team is where its at is because they spent a huge amount of money. Now, to their credit they have spent the money pretty wisely and are getting value unlike the Yankees.

I think its funny that Giants fans call Dodger fans bandwagoners. When a team has the kind of streak the Dodgers have had, no matter where they play, people will come out of nowhere, buy gear, watch every game on TV, and root. It happened in SF with the Giants in 2010 and it will happen in any city.

This. I hate the dodgers, but they havent had much to root for lately. Now with new owners, ones that are trying to stimulate the fan base, especially the latin ones, they did what they set out to do...make them important again.

and 99, its not just Puig. He gets the credit, but Hanley is quietly having a very solid year. They have good pitching, good hitting and an "exciting" star. Fuuuu

I have no idea how the ump called that 3-0 pitch a ball. Boston HAS to be pissed.

It was off the plate enough to be a ball from the pitchfx. Could have gone either way really.

That is virtually never called a ball on a 3-0 pitch though. And never to end a game. I thought it was a strike.

Agreed, but it was insanely close. Just got lucky for once I guess.
