Kyle Crick was electric tonight in SJ. Cruised at 95-97 with this fastball, hit 99 in the 4th inning and had his secondary pitches working as well as I've seen at anytime this year (4th start I've seen live). 6 strong innings, 3 hits (only one as squared up), 3 walks, 1 ER and 10 Ks. Absolute dominance over one of the better hitting teams in the Cal League.

Do you think cricks uoside is higher than wheelers?

I think they both have the same type of ceiling, #2/3-type of starting pitcher.

How many stud #1's are there anymore anyway? Not many. I think these 2 could possibly reach 1 as their ceiling but would think a #3 would be their floor.

My list of true #1 pitchers
Clayton Kershaw
Matt Harvey
Stephen Strasburg
Madison Bumgarner
Adam Wainwright
Jose Fernandez
Justin Verlander
Max Scherzer
Yu Darvish
Chris Sale
David Price
Felix Hernandez

12 guys.. Others just below.........
Matt Latos
Cliff Lee ( i think he is declining)
CC Sabathia ( same as Lee)
Matt Moore
Zack Greinke
Anibal Sanchez
Is Richmond's seasin over? I wonder how's Escobar is progressing?

In his 7 starts (short sample size), he essentially has the best FIP and WHIP numbers in the Eastern League and he's only 21 (most of the EL pitchers are 23-25). The only other 21 year-old who had somewhat similar numbers in the Eastern League was the Pirates Jameson Taillon (now in AAA) who is ranked #11 in BAs mid-season top 50. Again, not enough starts to qualify, but if he did he'd have the best overall numbers in the EL.

So far so good though.
You dudes hear that? Buster Posey is the first major leaguer with his own app. You can download Buster Bash app for free on iTunes. Lol
lol you rarely see pitchers flat out yell and gesture at umps like that. Cain was pissed.
Another 1-2-3 save for the horrible person and sorry pitcher Romo

Clearly one of the worst closers in the major leagues. Casilla would be way better.

He doesnt throw 98 mph, so he pretty much sucks.

Romo just looks illegal.

I think Kershaw and Bumgarner might now be considered the two best left handed SP in baseball. Both at or under age 25.

We should sign Quiroz to be the closer.

He's a catcher so he probably throws hard.... whatever we need to do to get his ass back on the roster.
