c'mon dude. Don't be a hater. There was 3 or 4 other teams that passed him up in the draft...............The Giants could've easily been one of them.

Its 100% true. In that draft there was a very small handful of players that were considered "elite". Posey was one of them. Even if we already had 10 top catcher prospects he was the obvious pick there. It didnt take any genius scouting to make that pick. The Marlins took a C right after us. Kyle Skipworth. Anyone who thinks the Giants were mulling between the 2 is crazy. It was Posey all the way.

I see what you're saying but there were teams that passed on him. If drafting Posey was such a slam dunk, those other teams didn't think so.

It KINDA reminds me of the crabtree situation a few years back. Do you NOT give the 49ers credit for drafting the best player available? I give credit to teams that drafts smart.

That year there was a small group of players considered the premier talent that year. Brian Matusz, Pedro Alvarez, Buster Posey, Eric Hosmer, and Tim Beckham. Most mock drafts had Posey going 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. He was not only the only player in that group left at our pick, but was arguably (at the time) the best of that group. It was a total no brainer pick. The point isnt that those other teams passed him up, its that they took the other premier guys.
The team might break the record of not scoring with the bases loaded. If there is such a thing.

Lol, that was classic 2013 giants there.
@sflunaticfringe: Travis Wood has more home runs than Scutaro, Arias, Blanco, and Torres.

Pitchers going deep. lol

Keep the L's coming.
Starting pitchers are keeping them in it, but are lacking run support. If only they could get timely hitting.

It seems like the lack of scoring, the lack of HR power, the lack of ability to get on base, the lack of ability to make pitchers get high pitch counts, the lack of ability to get hits with RISP, and the inability to stay out of the double play has plagued this team for the last 11 years now.

11 years, and we STILL cant build an offense that takes advantage of our pitching. Too many players who swing too early, too often, and dont have a disciplined approach.

This isnt new, its how we built the roster. We have too many hitters who do the same things.

If were going to try and change some things up here soon, keeping the same architect and blueprints isnt going to fix anything.

scutaro is an old dog, he is going to hit for average, he doesnt have the power to hit homers, and blanco is a small guy, he not gonna hit for power. torres is old and small. arias is skinny as f**k lol

When you get swept by the Cubs at home, you should just give up on the season.
