It's not like Buster is fast f**king stupid
And then Pence swings 3-0
I didn't get that either. If there were two outs, that's a gamble that should be taken, with no outs Posey should have been held at 3rd

Oh stop blaming flannery. Kuip is right- it took an absolute perfect relay and he was only out by a couple inches.

He should be blamed because there were no outs. We would have had runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs with Pence and Belt coming up.
If there were two outs, then he shouldn't be blamed one bit but that just wasn't the case.

Absolutely no reason to send him with the five and six hitters coming up.

Not when there is 0 outs.
With no outs, you got to be conservative, with two outs, you take more chances

NEWS FROM MLBTR
While Affeldt's injury may change the
calculus slightly, Baggarly, within that same
article, sees the Giants continuing their quest
for starting pitching. Manager Bruce
Bochy loves Jake Peavy , but the two teams
have not discussed a deal and the
Giants don't have the quantity or quality of
trade chips to get a seat at the table,
according to Baggarly.
Ex- Giants closer Brian Wilson is expected to
begin showcasing his arm for teams within
the next few weeks and the Giants have
asked Wilson's representative to include
them in the process, reports
Schulman . Wilson underwent his second
Tommy John surgery 15 month ago.

Looking back on it, it would've been probably more wise to hold up. However, especially with how our offense has been lately (and with Pence struggling) Flannery decided to put the pressure on the defense. Posey is probably safe 9/10 times on that play because it was a picture perfect relay all the way from the OF playing it perfectly off the wall. Things just haven't gone our way all day today.

I disagree Jake Peavy is only signed through next season and will not be blocking any of our pitching prospects. In fact this would be a decent stop gap until our pitching prospects are ready. With that said, I wouldn't give up Susac, Williamson or any of our lower minor league pitching prospects to get him.
On the other hand if a Gary Brown and Heath Hembree trade package gets it done, I would pull the trigger.
