Let Wilson go if he's trying to make big money. He's more of a glue guy at this point imo, which I do think is good but not big money good.

GET MICHAEL MORSE
He isnt going to go anywhere I'm afraid. Pretty sure he will be playing 1B for the Nationals and LaRoache will be going elsewhere in FA. He would really be a nice fot for our team though.
Ehhhhh....we'll see.

Well.. as you say we shall see. The Giants problem is who would they trade? Crick or Stratton plus someone like Javy Lopez? (Washington would love to get Lopez I'm guessing). With the lack of great prospects in the Giants organization its just tough to make deals.
Crick and/or Stratton would be too much for Morse in my opinion. I might have done that for Denard Span though.
I know this is old but I havent been around the last couple days....
Are you nuts itlyn? Michael Morse is a STUD. Hes a .300 hitter with 30 homerun potential every year. Would LOVE him as our 5 hitter. Denard Span is a good player, but I would rather have Morse by a mile.
Do yourself a favor and read the rest of the conversation before spouting off nonsense and inferring things no one said. Yes, I'd rather have four years of Span for one of our top tier pitching prospects versus one year of Morse, so would every other GM in the league.
Why on earth would you even trade a top tier pitching prospect for Denard Span...OF like Span can be found relatively easily. If we want to keep building around the starting rotation, it would be dumb to make that kind of move. in a couple years were going to be down to Cain and Bumgarner. Right now Stratton and Crick are kind of important pieces.
At AT&T, Denard Span is a .270 hitter with less than 5 HR, 40 RBIs, maybe 20 SB, good D, average OB%.

I agree that I wouldnt trade a top pitching prospect for Span. Now, if Michael Morse had several years left before Free Agency I would deal Crick for him. Power hitting outfielders are just so hard to find now and cost SO much in FA. He would be perfect for our LF spot. As I said from the beginning though, I dont think he will be moved and that they will let LaRoache go.
Washington is rumored to be a player for Greinke. Can you fathom a rotation of Strasburg, Gio, Greinke, and Zimmerman. That would be SICK. I doubt LA will let that happen though. They are just going to write a blank check for him.

Doesn't Greinke have social anxiety problems? I don't know if he really cares about getting the biggest paycheck from LA and having to live up to it.

And to add to that.. I think him nestling in among Washington's great staff would be perfect for him.

I think if Morse had several years left under team control, theres no way WAS is even talking about moving him.
As long as the Dodgers dont get Greinke, im fine with wherever he goes. I wish he wouldve just stayed in KC to begin with.

He is going to get a huge paycheck whereever he goes and will feel some pressure from the contract. In LA at least he wouldnt be the #1 pitcher.

yeah, he has some kind of emotional health issues. not sure if that means anxiety problems, or depression, or what. It might end up costing him some money. Nobody wants to invest a record amount of cash in an emotionally unstable player.

They should pay the fans to stay a full 9 innings. Or start using actual meat for Dodger dogs.
