Sandusky threw Joe Pa under the bus out of spite, now his gay ass succeeded. Perv.

Anyway, I'm done with this thread. Like the Casey Anthony thread months ago, the issue of bad things happening to children clouds people's ability to calmly analyze situations.
I'm perfectly calm, you are assuming I'm not calm through a computer screen....
And it is simple that you report someone witnessed a child was raped in the circumstances that Paterno was in.

aman49, you and others defending JoPa are the ones being irrational and in deep denial. Read the bloody Grand Jury transcript. For decades this creepy guy, former coach, was showing up to coaches meetings with young boys, drove around alone with them, had them sleeping over at his house, brought them on road trips to games, tailgated with them -- started an entire foundation, adopted children. Others may not know the guy well, but JoPa surely did -- he worked with him for decades. There is no way you don't know what a longtime friend is into.
The FIRST time JoPa and those clown administrators working for him heard about Sandusky sodomizing a ten year old boy -- and they were told that, no doubt about it, read the bloody PDF -- they should have put all that together, if they didn't know already. All the pieces should have been in place. "How many others?" they should have asked. Instead they played, "Protect the program, protect our jobs." For that, they earn the hatred of the nation.
Already some of these guys have already been demonstrated to be liars, and some are going to be charged with perjury for lying to a grand jury. So who knows how far back this scandal goes, how long they and others in the organization knew about Sandusky's disgusting fondness for young boys. Serial molestors like this monster usually impact dozens, if not hundreds - and already the victim tally is climbing.
This is what should be done: Sandusky, execution. The administrators who lied to the grand jury and failed to report a felony rape against a child, prison. The coach who did nothing, he should be fired immediately and stripped of all retirement benefits. And there should be an investigation into who really knew what, and if it turned out JoPa knew his buddy was a child rapist and did nothing, he can join the rest of the perjurers and amoral rejects in prison.
Corruption is the handmaid of Evil; root out and burn it down.

You guys are all saying what you would have done or what should be done and it is all b******t.
You don't know what you would have done unless you've been there and done it. You don't know even know how the police handled it and if they wanted to acquire more concrete evidence. Until this case is closed, the only guy guilty of anything right now is Sandusky and those who perjured.
Story Highlights
Paterno hasn't been charged, but he may have violated law by not going to police
Paterno's statements to grand jury will come under scrutiny as case goes to trial
Even if Paterno isn't criminally charged, he could be found negligent in civil trial

One man did the molesting and rape.
Others in positions of authority stood by silently, thus allowing one man's evil to continue. Why don't you guys get this?
Children could have been saved, but weren't. And the writing is on the wall that nothing was done to save the reputation of a football program.
