had to think of this question this morning listening to NFL Draft analysts who talk about Luck as simply a guy you'll plug into a pro-style offense and we'll give you 25+ TD's, 3000+ yards, Pro Bowls, playoffs and perhaps a super bowl in his first year. A more athletic Peyton Manning is what he's being described as.
and it made me think about Lebron and all the hype he had coming into his rookie season, you can argue he did live up to the expectations initially

This isn't even close man.
Lebron was hyped since he was like 14.
Who the f**k knew who Andrew Luck was when he 14. When Luck was 14, even he didn't know he'd be this good.
There is nothing that will ever compare to the Lebron hype.

A.Luck can throw on the move though.
I'm not high on the guy, but he's done some crazy ass throws on the run.
VERY accurate.
Still though, my vote goes to Luck.
He can still get injured, be a bust, suck in the NFL etc.
LBJ took the garbage Cavs to the playoffs by himself.

The only football player whose hype can come close to Lebron is probably Bo Jackson

Lebron was hyped 'The Chosen One" as the heir apparent to Jordan in his junior year of high school, I voted Lebron. Luck a more athletic Peyton Manning, I think he looks very similar to Aaron Rodgers in the way he plays.

You take out Lebron from the Cavs and what happens?
They don't make the playoffs ..not even close.
read em' and weep;
On the court, the 2010–11 season was a stark contrast from the previous two seasons. The Cavaliers were conference-worst 19–63. This season also saw the Cavs lose 26 games in a row, which set an NBA record and tied the 1976–77 Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the longest losing streak in any American professional team sport

This, except the last sentence. At some point, a 13 year old will be on sports illustrated. Also, similar comparisons do happen in soccer often - Messi is probably the only one lived up to the hype in recent times - he was called the next Marodona at the age of 16. Neymar from Brazil is another player who has been hyped for last 3-4 years (he is 19 right now) as a player who will surpass the Brazilian Ronaldo. He is pretty damn good at 19.

Doesn't matter cause both will end up being great.
Its not like they missed on James. Luck is probably a sure thing too.

I remember Jimmy Clausen being dubbed the LeBron of football when he was in 10th grade. ESPN had a special on him and everything. That didn't work out so well. He's the only other guy I can't think of that was hyped that early.

And Chris Simms too. Also, Ohio states own QB Terrell Pryor. He was hyped big time.
