didnt catch the game, was it bad? Is Tomas okay?

He appears to be OK. He was chasing down the puck close to the bench area. Edler didn't even attempt to go after the puck, he just clips Tomas in the head with his shoulder and his helmet flew off. No penalty on the play, the refs missed it, but there was a scuffle with plenty of Sharks sticking up for Hertl. Dirty move and we're lucky he didn't land a clean hit, because Tomas didn't see it coming at all.

Anybody know of any high quality streams for the Sharks? Couldn't afford to pay for NHL Gamecenter live again; back to hunting for any sort of stream possible.

BURNSY! Man this team looks good.

I didn't see -- is Hertl back in the game?
What's up with the hybrid icing call?
Sharks almost got screwed on that icing. Glad it didn't wind up altering the game.
I must have missed the new rule.

Hybrid icing has been approved for the 2013-14 season, deputy commissioner Bill Daly confirmed today on NHL Live.

From NHL.com:

In hybrid icing, the linesman blows the play dead and calls icing immediately if the defending player is leading or tied in the race to the faceoff dots in his defensive zone. The object is to try at all costs to avoid the nasty collisions into the end boards that have led to serious injuries to a number of NHL players, including Kurtis Foster and most recently Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Joni Pitkanen, who will miss the entire 2013-14 season.

Knew about the rule, but really thought Wingels made it to the dot in time.

Same here. I'm guessing Hamilton is the first one called up if Hertl is out.
