Good hard-fought comeback win against Phoenix. Lots of close calls in this one, but glad for the victory. Wish we didn't have to get so many of these in the shootout, but a win is a win and I'll take it.
Now just looking forward to Monday where we need Burns back at winger to keep the offense going. Burns >>>>>>>> Burish. At this point, Handzus brings more value than Burish. I would not be upset if Burish got traded. Even Kennedy has looked better and when he's healthy, if anyone's playing between the two of them, it should be Kennedy.

Without Demers, I wonder what line Tennyson will play on.
are you serious?
it was a four year deal... not 5
Haha, my mistake, I was looking at contract details the other day and misremembered. Yes, it's 4, which doesn't make me any less upset about it, haha.
In any case, as stated in the post above, Kennedy has looked better than any of them and has earned playing time when healthy.

Clowe, although lacks production, is still a leader on this team. I think he could be playing hurt.
I'm sure we can get rid of someone less valuable (galiardi, handzus) in place for this kid... anyone know what his status is?

LOL!! WOW! What a steal for a guy rotting on the bench! That is AWESOME. Really stocking up on picks to re-stock our farm and young talent arsenal. Now if we can just get rid of Burish too, especially with guys like Nieto apparently about to be ready, and Kennedy already showing to be more deserving of playing time. Also, as I've mentioned before, I'm pretty excited about a few of the other young prospects we have coming up like forwards Freddie Hamilton, Brodie Reid and Daniil Tarasov.

Yup, Nieto has already been added to the Worcester roster, #40. And we also signed another good-looking prospect. One, a team captain, just had a great year: Dane Walters. http://www.mlive.com/broncos/index.ssf/2013/03/wmu_hockey_forward_dane_walter_2.html

Apparently clowe won't be in the lineup tonight against the nucks, something is happening.

As long as Thornton and Marleau are still on the team I wouldn't call it a rebuild, lets just say they're tweaking the team while still being competitive.

I'll miss Clowe if he's dealt. If DW can get the 1st round pick + young asset he wants in exchange for Clowe, it would be a great move.

Agreed. With Patty, JT and Boyle staying put, they aren't rebuilding. Moving Murray made sense given his contract situation and age, and given the fact they have young defensemen to fill in the spot. I think Clowe will benefit from a new environment. Seems to me the Sharks are addressing the teams lack of speed by moving out some of these human pylons for some draft picks and possibly some younger, speedier talent.

I don't know. Clowe has worked really well suddenly with Pavelski on the third line so I'd hate to see him go after finally meshing with a line this season. His power on that line has brought an excellent balance. I don't know how I'd feel about seeing him go. It'd have to be for a VERY GOOD price in my opinion, because Clowe brings nastiness, grit, and a good presence that can get the puck to the net and in general create scoring chances with the way he plays the game. He can also beat the crap out of people when he fights and give us energy.
He's had a slightly down year, so I'm not sure I'm comfortable saying he's lost it and just dumping him without getting a LOT in return. I'm kind of hoping he's out just to heal an injury.

I hear ya. I'd have mixed feelings about him being dealt. He still can be a positive presence because of his toughness, grit, and leadership. He had been playing pretty well on the 3rd line like you said. Hahn and Remenda just said he's a healthy scratch as I'm typing this. Looks like he's leaving.
