This one was the killer

I just want to make the playoffs for the sake of us saying we made it again. Even though I doubt we get past the first round if we do get in.
God damnit Sharks. Perennially awful. They started out the season so well.

Sigh. Can't expect anything from the franchise that holds the record for most losses in a season

perennially awful? you think 8 straight playoff appearances is perennially awful? how do you think blue jack or leaf fans feel?

Probably pretty terrible. If the 49ers went to the playoffs 8 years in a row and didnt win the super bowl, I'd suggest firing the coach. Going to the playoffs doesnt mean s**t to me after a while if you don't bring home the cup.

Even if beating the Red wings was really, really satisfying.

If we don't deplete it, our farm system in Worcester alone is actually doing pretty solid right now. We have some good prospects for the distant future, but I hope we can get something out of these new guys who are just in their early 20's right now out in Worcester.

Forwards:
Freddie Hamilton - 8 goals, 12 assists, plus-1 in 58 games
Marek Viedensky - 4 goals, 2 assists, plus-4 in 14 games
Daniil Tarasov - 9 goals, 8 assists, plus-7 in 25 games
James Livingston - 5 goals, 9 assists, plus-10 in 50 games
Brodie Reid - 10 goals, 11 assists, minus-1 in 34 games
Sebastian Stalberg - 9 goals, 4 assists, minus-8 in 49 games

Defensemen:
Nick Petrecki - 1 goal, 4 assists, even in 28 games
Sena Acolatse - 4 goals, 13 assists, even in 33 games
Taylor Doherty - 1 goal, 4 assists, plus-2 in 23 games
Matt Tennyson - 5 goals, 20 assists, minus-7 in 54 games

Hamilton, Tarasov, and Doherty are the youngest, all just 21 years old. But I think all of these guys could have a shot to get a call-up at some point in the near future.
