The media may be fools, but I find Harbaugh's treatment of them to be both not necessary and unprofessional.
The Cohen idiots may have earned his wrath but ..... but Harbaugh's overt public display of disdain for the media does not serve any useful or necessary organizational purpose.
Well lying twisting words and fabricating falsehoods are not exactly professional either. If a guy is an a** report that he's an a**. Don't put out BS and call it news. It sells but it also trashes your own credibility!
There is no winner in this situation except that they will sell more papers...so they win, no matter what. Harbaugh should recognise this and stop acting like a two year old. He makes there day everytime he does something silly and newsworthy. His tantrums on the sidelines are also really silly. Really, he could use some personal growth in this regard and it would make his life better and help the team.
But it doesn't excuse poor reporting...but then we can all consider the source and ignore future stories by those yahoos.

The media can go f**k itself. I am much more fed up with their "act" than anything Harbaugh could do.
Harbaugh has bigger fish to fry than to deal with these leeches.

In such a violent game, players won't put it all on the line for a coach that is beginning to lose their respect.
The latest Ann Killion article claims that Harbaugh has reached that point with some "face of the franchise" players. If that is true, and none of us know for certain although someone with credibility conveyed it to her, then this coming season is "make-it-or-break it" for sure. A recent anonymous poll of 320 NFL players by ESPN rated head coaches based on who they would most like to play for. The poll claimed to equally represent all 32 teams. Harbaugh came in a rather dismal 8th place in that poll. That poll gives credibility to Killion's anonymous source. (For what it is worth, #8 is about where I would rate him among current NFL coaches.)
Players will continue to play for a coach that they con't particularly like as long as they are winning. However, when they start to lose, things come apart quickly. We have all heard the story of Gore and Kaepernick making up their own play rather than the one Harbaugh sent in. It worked. Stuff like that is not missed by teammates.
I am not on the side of firing Harbaugh now or before the end of this coming season, however, I would not extend him now either. There are warning signs up that should not be missed. This team is still in a window to win and if a change is to be made (after the season) there are good coaches that would love to come here to coach this talent that Baalke has assembled.
Bill Belicheck came in at 6.9% (5th) and from what has been reported does not exactly treat his players the best. But he has 3 Superbowl rings, so players want to play in NE. Rex Ryan came in 4th and he has only won over 9 games as a coach once. Also the article even says Pete Carol came in first in in part because "some might say he won the vote because he's viewed as being soft on players." So i really wouldn't try to use that to try and say that proves Killion's sources are right. If anything it proves them wrong since he got enough votes to make it in #8 out of 32 coaches.

Every time I read one of these articles, I feel like they're reporting from some alternate universe. It just seems so greatly exaggerated.
I can see Harbaugh getting on the nerves of Baalke and ownership on certain issues, but anyone claiming there is unrest in the locker room is full of s**t. Harbaugh is a players coach. He sticks up for his guys, and they genuinely seem to like playing for him. Local beat writers have covered the team for years inside the locker room, and never noticed a rift.
Killion is just stirring s**t up, she needs the web traffic.

It sounds like Harbaugh is gone. His act is even wearing thin in the locker room now. I'm fine with it if we can replace him with somebody better. But you also don't just get anybody and go back to the days of Nolan and Singletary. If you can get Gruden or somebody that can actually win a Super Bowl maybe that is a good deal for us. Harbaugh just seems like the type to burn out anyway. He is always throwing temper tantrums on the sideline. Just not the stable personality to last a long time with a team.

Are you serious? Let's not forget that there are many players on the current team who had to play for Nolan/Singletary. I highly doubt that Harbaugh is wearing thin on the locker room, considering that have become one of the best teams in football.

The team has been on vacation for over a month, the lockers are cleared out, and there's basically nothing going on whatsoever....but suddenly the breaking news is that Harbaugh's act has worn thin in the locker room.
Get the f**k outta here.

I still do not like Harbaugh's form of dealing with the media, and I have felt that from the beginning of his tenure.
I understand. I just took it as part of what came along with him as coach but there is no need to be combative with the media nearly every time you see them
