Classic responses for apologists. f**k when it's all on the line, right? In the big moment in the biggest game, right. Hey 2nd place is just fine. Orange bowl victories are still fun, right? Jesus, you guys are hilarious. lol
IMO it's just a dumb thing to keep bringing up over and over again. It's just a negative thing you can say about him so you keep saying it. It's like saying Barry Sanders was one of the greatest running backs of all time, but he never won a big game.
Just saying he's never won a big game is a cop out. It ignores the fact of why those big games were lost. Yep they were all Jim Harbaugh's fault those big games were lost, lol. The guy takes a team with a losing record and Alex Smith and gets them to within one play of a Super Bowl his first year. So because Kyle Williams happened Jim couldn't win the big game? Next year takes the team to the Super Bowl but because Kap couldn't throw a fade pass Jim couldn't win the big game? Again in Seattle because Kap had 7 INTs in 4 games Jim couldn't win the big game. 2nd year at Michigan and got to within a half yard of winning in double OT when his QB turned the ball over 3 times. They had no business even being in that game with those turnovers and that team fought their asses off and almost pulled it out.
So you see even when faced with his players making critical mistakes his teams have always been within 1 play of winning the big game. In Bill Walsh's first 4 years as a HC he went 24-33. He won the big games because he was lucky enough that his players made the one big play that won those games. If that Dallas defender would have held onto that INT before "The Catch" maybe the 49ers never win the big game? Jim went 44-19-1 with an avg game managing QB and one who can't figure out a defense to save his life. Maybe if Jim had a HOF QB he could have won the big one?
80% of coaches never win the big game. 75% never even get there.
Wherever he's gone he's made avg guys look good. He's made bad teams into winners. He was a top 10 coach in the NFL and is a top 10 coach in college. Most coaches will never achieve what Jim has already and he's only about half way through his coaching career. If he coaches another 15 years and never wins a big game and you wanna keep talking about that one thing he never got to do then that's on you. Don't really see the point. Great coaches put their players in a position to win the game. It's up to the players to make those plays. Great coach is a great coach.
Now if we can please talk about how Michigan is gonna f**k up Florida State in the Orange Bowl that would be great.
Such passion. I can only hope jim is rubbing off on you and you're slamming things on the ground and acting like a baffoon while posting this like jim does on the sideline.
Another classy comment. I figured you have a snappy retort and not a decent reply.
Actually I felt like this while posting that.
Jim only gets pissed at the refs and is man enough to say what everyone else wants to. All coaches b***h at the refs. Jim's just the best at it.
And somehow always seems to find himself on the short end of big calls in big games. Maybe someday he'll figure out he needs to conduct himself in a professional manner and he might get a call or 2. Probably not though. lol
Or he can just be who he is and hopefully be lucky enough that his players don't turn the ball over?
