Opening lineup for Stars
Line 1: Jamie Benn / Seguin / Nichushkin
Line 2: Eaves / Spezza / Hemsky
Line 3: Roussel / Eakin / Garbutt
Line 4: Horcoff / Fiddler / Scevoiur
Def 1: Goligoski / Daley
Def 2: Dillon / Jordie Benn
Def 3: Nemeth / Connauton
Goalie: Lehtonen
Backup: Lindback
Injured: Erik Cole (expected to replace Eaves, Eaves bumps Scevoiur to minors). Gonchar (expected to bump Connauton to minors).
Last year of contract players:
Spezza (expected to re-sign)
Horcoff (will be let go)
Cole (will be let go)
Peverley (will be let go, unknown if he can play again)
Eaves (will be let go)
Gonachar (will be let go)
DIllon/Oleksiak/Nemeth will be RFA's
Needs: 2 LWs, 1 D
Most likely Connauton will replace Gonchar as a regular. If he has a good start to the year Gonchar will be a healthy scratch.
LW Curtis McKenzie is the Stars next call up. 23 year old that played college, was named rookie of the year for AHL last year.
The other LW to make the team next year might be Dickinson (2013 1st round pick). D Honka (2014 1st round pick) is expected to compete for a roster spot soon as well. Which is why I think Stars didn't want to commit to a long term contract with Dillon.

Bought NHL Center Ice so I can watch my Stars more
One quick note from last night, Hedman on TB had a sweet OT game winner. This year in OT, teams play on the opposite side of the ice (so defensive zone is further away from bench, making line changes more difficult). Sure enough on a long line change, Hedman (defenseman) stayed at opposing blue line. TB's Goalie took the puck and fired it down to him and he skated in and scored on basically a breakaway. This is going to be a new standard OT play.
On the Stars-Blackhawks:
-Stars outplayed the Hawks for most of the game, they had more energy and were hitting
-Lehtonen was solid in net
-Stars outshot Blackhawks but they weren't always quality shots. Still a few scoring chances they needed to put in were not shot accurately enough
-Trevor Daley played great
-Spezza line seemed dysfunctional, 1st game jitters?
-Benn/Seguin also struggled to get going offensively
-Really the Blackhawks PP won the game, just too much talent to stop....
-Kane had a SICK shootout winner

Yeah they should be moved.
I think the best locations would be Quebec or Seattle. In Quebec, its the most populated Canadian city without an NHL team and they are finishing a stadium in 2015. In Seattle, a developer purchased a ton of land to build a huge project centered around an NHL or NBA team.

Damn, Jamie Benn-Tyler Seguin are so good. Both are two of the best goal scoring finishers in the league. But the real story in Dallas is the evolution of D Trevor Daley, 3 goals on the year (all on PP I believe). He has grown more in a year than any veteran player I've ever seen,.
