That's something too that could be HUGE for us. If Sheppard doesn't do anything, we could still deal that away.
Or we could hang on to this pick and it would negate the pick we lost in our trade for Sheppard. Either way, we're better off with the 2nd than keeping White. Erhoff's rights were dealt for 4th round picks this year. I think in the end, we wouldn't have been much better off keeping him and having no cap space at the time.
I for one am extremely excited with the team we're going into this season with. Not only do we have a tremendously talented squad in all facets now, we have a lot of high-rising youngsters that should provide adequate depth in case of any injures. We should be very good even if we have injuries, but if we stay healthy, we should straight up DOMINATE.
