How in the he'll are they going to fill out thier roster

They only have five players on their roster

Pay out their ass in Luxury Tax, ala the Lakers ($21.5 Mill last season)

Still not certain what the luxury tax is, but a team can be over the cap as much as they want as long as they're willing to pay a luxury tax? So they can basically buy a championship?

Let's say a team goes over the cap by $5 Million. Then they also have to pay $10 in Luxury Tax to the NBA.
The Heat will be 77-5 next year and will sweep the Lakers in the finals. You heard it here 1st.

That's a bargain, I wonder why teams don't do this more often. Owners must not want to win.

Well most teams over the cap have the mid level exception

However the heat were way under the cap and only have 1 million or so to spend because all thief options are exhausted

They will have to fill thier rosters by signing players to the vet minimum

You'd think more would, but it's not so easy for every owner to just hand over $20 million. That's a whole lotta f**king money. Even to these rich b*****ds. Then there's also the fact that 3 big names aren't always available to acquire. The Lakers have slowly built what they have, and are paying their players big money to stay. Something a lot of owners also don't do. The money that Kobe, Pau, Bynum, Odom, ect have gotten is crazy. Most owners would have let some of those guys go to get paid elsewhere, but Buss is dedicated to winning. More than any other owner in all of sports, IMO.

DeLonte James better fear for his life, I mean West. It is probably his fault LeBron aint coming back. Why Cleveland didnt ship his ass off, I dont know. Thats the first thing I would have done as the Cavs Owner.

Actually I think the luxery tax treshold is different then the cap number

Soft Cap is $58 million. Hard cap/Luxury Tax Level is $70 or so million.

Ah, so there's a gap between the 2, right? So what's the light penalty for going over the $58 figure? Or is there one?
