Kobe Feels Leg Getting Stronger
Aug 15, 2010 12:05 AM EST

Kobe Bryant is now four weeks removed from having knee surgery.

"I'm doing rehab constantly for my knee, making sure the leg is getting stronger," said Bryant. "As soon as the leg gets strong enough to go, that's when I turn it up."

good post!

dudes a f**king animal, his training and his commitment to be the best is why hes the best in the game

This is an awesome thread on the subject.

I love when someone asked Tex Winter what would happen if prime Kobe played prime Jordan. His answer was, "There'd be blood on the floor by the end."

Has there ever been a player that was entering his 15th season that was still in the "best player in the game" conversation?

Here's a rather simple, interesting comparison between Kobe Bryant vs. Dwayne Wade and Lebron James regarding offensive dominance-plus. And to be fair, I'll even start it at 2003-04 for obvious reasons, Kobe's career totals ( ):

60+ Point Games: Kobe 5, Wade 0, LBJ 0
50+ Point Games: Kobe 17 (24), Wade 3, LBJ 8
40+ Point Games: Kobe 77 (104), Wade 28, LBJ 42

All-NBA 1st: Kobe 6 (8), Wade 2, LBJ 4
All-DEF 1st: Kobe 6 (8), Wade 0, LBJ 2

Interesting.

I know it has 60+ but it should have been 70+ and 80+
and not to hate on Nash cause he one amazing PG, but Kobe was robbed of several season MVP's! including This year.

He didn't deserve regular season MVP.

Why not?

LeBron was the best regular season performer, from beginning to end.

And it wasn't even close. I don't even think Kobe was the 2nd best regular season performer. He was practically unwatchable for the last 2 months of the year.

Winning really is the best deodorant.
That being said, with LeBron going to Miami, it's likely that it takes both he and Wade out of MVP consideration. With Kobe's stock being as high as it's ever been in terms of public perception, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he won a "lifetime achievement award" MVP this year.
