Easily would have broken the HR record if it wasn't for injuries, IMO

I loved Griffey growing up

besides Bonds Griffey was my favorite
No doubt the injuries killed him. He woulda been the all time home run leader and seen as the greatest power hitter ever.

Same. He and Bonds also had two of the prettiest swings I've ever seen.
I still believe that he made the biggest mistake of his baseball career by signing with Cincy. I think he would have broke the homerun record of Hank Aaron if stayed put in Seattle from the start.

He got traded to Cincy. (He pretty much demanded it, though.)

Glad he is gone.

I actually agree. Before roids and injuries Griffey was the better player both offensivly and defensivly in my opinion. I would rank them JR 1A and Bonds 1B.

I do think Griffey is clearly the better all around player. 10 Gold gloves and 630 HR's. Thats pretty amazing.

With an injury plagued career. He should be the all time home run leader and probably the 2nd or 3rd greatest player ever.
