I'm the opposite of you guys on this one. I like it.
Dalembert's contract is less toxic than Okafor (4 years, 50 mill) and arguably even Nocioni (2-3 years left at 7 mill per). For Dalembert, one year left after this season at 12 mill.
We have a lot of SF when Garcia returns -- with him, Casspi and D.Greene, but we are short on big men. Dalembert is long, athletic, he blocks shots and runs the floor.
When healthy...
Evans-Udrih
Martin-Udoka
Garcia-Casspi
Thompson-May
Hawes-Dalembert
w/ Rodriguez, Brockman, and D.Greene
I like that.

never thought of it that way SacRock, I agree, wouldnt be the worst trade, could do better, but Dalembert does have just 1yr after this yr left, and you would become players in the 2011 market. whcih would have guys like YAO, R.Jefferson, i think Duncan and Dirk, among others.

Here's the latest...

Dalembert's agent likes the idea of Sammy D coming to Sac.
Kings are lukewarm on Dalembert.
Boston does not want Nocioni.
Seems like these rumors give us something to talk about for a few hours before being disspelled

Yeah, I dunno. I hate the idea of losing Noc because Cisco probably isn't coming back this year, out for 4+ months and all with the broken forearm that needed pins and stuff or whatever. But if we could deal Kenny for Dalembert I would probably say yes. We would have a legit FC rotation of Thompson/Greene and Hawes/Dalembert. We'd have depth at SF with Noc/Casspi/Greene. THen we have our Evans/Udrih backcourt. Plenty of minutes to go around, team that's pretty active with a lot of athletes and defenders. But if we lose Noc, I'd hate that. His scrappy play has been infectious to the younger players, he spreads the floor with 3 point shooting and he does a good job defensively. When we play the lakers or cavs I don't want to see us stick Udrih or Casspi on Kobe or LeBron, that'd be a disaster. But Noc won't stop them or anything, atleast he makes guys like that work for their points and become volume shooters(look at how many shots Durant took to get 37 points)

Casspi's emergence makes Noc's loss a little easier to swallow IMO

He's out for the year pretty much anyway, nobody would trade for him. We might be able to get someone good though for Kevin.

Yea I would be open to trading Kevin, especially after solid performances without him.
