No team going after Gustavson has signed a goalie yet...

The avs signed craig anderson and have budaj.

While they are still in the running, I would think they may back off a little

(so instead of a 99% effort of trying to sign gustavson, they drop down to 97% )

I think the Avs are done shopping for a goalie after the Anderson signing. The guy posted the third best save percentage last year in a limited status (shared time with Vokoun). Add to the fact that they drafted the goalie from Boston University into the mix.

5+7+6 = 18 million in three players, imo are not worth 18 million.

the habs will always be a small soft team that will get pushed around. they are just trying to make the fans happy with their spending spree.

Gainey is putting a lot of stock in hoping speed will trump the bruising teams of the East

I said it during last season and I stand by it...Gainey needs to go. It's not about spending money on a bunch of high priced FA's, it's about spending it wisely which he seemingly isn't doing. I'm hoping he proves me wrong but I doubt it.
Rick Nash is gonna get paid

Thanks for staying loyal to the Avalanche (and Nordiques before they moved).

Yep. I heard that on KNBR this morning. I guess he had the itch to see if he could make an impact....well it wasn't much. A whopping ONE assist! lol

Man it was fun when he and the Avs were in their prime. Picking Duchene with the third overall pick in this year's draft will help them in the long run.
