Looks like it might be WBC #3 rated Willie Nelson against James Kirkland on a May 24 HBO Boxing After Dark telecast. The Nelson camp is hoping to have everything thing done this coming week.
According to the Desert Sun, WBA interim welterweight champion Keith Thurman will face two-time former lightweight titleholder Julio Diaz on April 26 at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. Diaz, 0-2-1 in his last three, with a close decision loss to Amir Khan and a draw and loss to current IBF welterweight champion Shawn Porter.

Also expected to be featured on the Golden Boy Promotions card, are light welterweight star Lucas Matthysse and WBC lightweight champion Omar Figueroa.
Broner vs Molina , Amir khan vs Luis Collazo confirmed for the Mayweather undercard.
Junior middleweight titlist Erislandy Lara, recently elevated from an interim titleholder to a full one, will make his first defense against former beltholder Ishe Smith on May 2 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Featherweights Vasyl Lomachenko and Gary Russell Jr. were ordered by the WBO on Thursday to fight for the organization's vacant 126-pound belt.
The sides have 30 days to negotiate a deal or the fight will put up for a purse bid, which is likely because Lomachenko is promoted by Top Rank and Russell is with its bitter rival, Golden Boy Promotions, and they do not negotiate fights with each other.
Assuming it goes to a purse bid, the company that wins the auction would have sole promotional rights to the bout.
thurman .. wanna see that cat fight again
Damn.

Marlon Sullivan, manager of jr welterweight Karim Mayfield, who is fighting Thomas Dulorme on Saturday night’s HBO opener, is on the run from authorities after being dinged with a number of federal charges. According to the SF Weekly, Sullivan is accused of involvement in a murder-for-hire conspiracy, gun trafficking, a drug-trafficking conspiracy and the sale of fraudulent credit cards. Mayfield was quoted as saying “Oh, what the hell? He was supposed to be meeting me out here today.”

Agnew's corner was pure amateur hour. That kid actually had a shot to make the fight interesting. You don't instruct your fighter to stand against the ropes in the high guard and take punishment like that, I don't care who he's fighting.
