Yes, it would be nice to have Reid back (but not for starter's money) so that seems unlikely. As many of you have stated, Ward is too expensive, especially for an injury prone player (albeit talented) who won't start. Either he moves to CB at a different price or he is cut.

Let us not forget that the team likes Chancellor James (a SS) quite a bit so you will then have 3 solid safeties on your roster to begin this FA/draft period. Signing a veteran FA (one that might be able to play both SS and FS) seems like something the team would do.

To me, the likely scenario is that both Reid and Ward are let go and the team signs a vet FA and drafts a safety in the middle rounds. Your thoughts?
