With Desean Watson Houston looked like world beaters. Those are good odds to take a chance on.
Pitt will plummet when Ben retires.
If Den signs a FA QB and we see Pitt/NE stumble, they'd be a nice lonshot.
Jax too, get them any other QB and they're dangerous

The hype doesn't help us. Shanahan should do what he can to limit expectations, because right now, if we don't at least make the playoffs next year, it'll be seen as a massive disappointment. Failing to meet expectations is a great way to lose your job. Not that Shanahan would be fired if we fail to make the playoffs next year, but it could definitely set up 2019 as a make or break year for him.
Winning our final 5 games this year was exciting, but we're still not a very talented roster and it wouldn't be a surprise if we only go somewhere around 6-10 again or 7-9. That'd still be a sign that we're improving and a good record for our talent level, but I don't think most people will see it that way with the level of hype we're getting from this year's finish.

After going 0-9 without a legit qb and winning the rest of our games once we found and started one,u think that we may only win an extra game next season ? Just clarifying

I always love the talent argument. We lost 5 straight games by 3 points or less with a journeyman and rookie QB, then get a FQB and win 6 of 7 despite leading the league in players on I.R.
Did the talent just magically show up at the very moment we got a QB who could execute a game plan?

We were hella depleted as the season went along and had a tough stretch to finish the season strong.

This, we're in the playoffs with jimmy g playing qb week 1. Another good draft and good contributors in FA I expect playoffs in year 2. Anything else would be a MAJOR disappointment. A full year with jimmy and him fully grasping the o along with the rest of the offense and with Kyle calling plays I'm totally looking forward to a legit offense.
