Drafting well is a reason you keep cap space. Because drafted players are locked in to 4-5 year cheaper deals than what you pay for FA. You draft 7-10 players a year on avg and maybe land a couple key FA.

The past regime is the reason we lost all our good coaches and players. Then played musical coaches and players for three years. It played a major affect on what our team looks like today.

We won't know if Lynch/Kyle can fix what the past regime screwed up for prob another 1-2 years. A major factor will be who the QB is next season.

agreed...I think missing on the past drafts (like 2012) is part of the reason we have a ton of cash. We will see if the new FO can fix s**t, but we got to give them time to do it

yeah 2012-2014, 30 draft picks and 6 of those players are still on the team. That's 24 players you didn't have to bother to think about resigning to long term deals. lol

Who are we supposed to spend the money on? Most quality FA dont want to go to 2 win teams in the middle of a complete rebuild.

Dont look at the numbers, be practical. You have to have good players to spend money and hand out large contracts.

As a 2 win team last year we obviously dont have good players.

We just got a QB a little over a month ago. Lol... FA will want to come now but we are talking about the past few years of not spending money. Try to keep up.

The past few offseasons we have been wretched therefore nobody wanted to come here. Thats why we haven't spent much money.
