Go ahead and Laugh but this was darn insightful. If you don't like it don't read it. Also jersey is keenly observant. For those that have a miniscule attention span, you won't enjoy it. But for quality...it is spot on. And the analysis of both players and plays...excellent. Keep at it jersey.

I gave up on this season obviously but I will say I continue to see the positives in what is happening. KS is instilling a PRO SYTLE approach to this team mainly on offense, decisions and special teams. lets be honest our team is not good (what im trying to say is we don't have enough talent) and this means that a lot of these guys will (play) next year and the year after but mainly as rotational or depth guys. This is a throw away season for the FO to gauge who is a keeper on this team, we have the most cap space in the league and will probably have a top 2 pick in the draft. This team is losing to bad teams Yes, BUT we are only losing by VERY minute amounts and always fighting until the end which I love to see happen for a young coach. Now enough of my positive movement energy lets get down to the analysis of this game.
QB- Brian Hoyer really did not have a "Bad" game. He threw for over three hundred yards and 2 tds and didn't throw any picks (that were caught by the defender). Ill continue to say what I have been Hoyer when he has time makes all the throws but the over throws and bad reads sometimes are just a defected talent issue not a I made the wrong decision issue. This team needed stability at the position, someone who can "run" the offense and the best guy for the job is under center so get real with the nonsense I have seen on this board AND heard on twitter. Brian Hoyer has Pierre Garcon as his number 1 wide receiver...listen I love Pierre he's a BEAST but he's not AJ Green, Julio Jones, Nuk Hopkins or Jordy Nelson this isn't a guy who can take a corner anywhere on the field and win. When our running game is putrid we cannot move the football consistently on drives and that is what happened during this game. Hoyer missed again a few throws throwing over the WR including a deep ball to Goodwin that he sailed WELL over his head when he had a step, although he did throw an absolute DIME to Goodwin that he caught as the biggest play of the game. Either way we will see Hoyer moving forward and again he was great on play action passes.
****I WILL STATE THIS: when re-watching the game the COLTS played an excellent FIELD POSTIION game and we started so many drivers inside the 10 yard line and that is always a recipe for disaster when you are not a good team.
RB- Carlos Hyde was lost in this one. The Run Blocking was not creating lanes especially early and Hyde missed nice lanes on at least 2 plays. After awhile KS saw enough of Carlos because he really was not effective at all, it was actually noticeable so kudos to KS for recognizing and not appeasing the fantasy football masses *Hyde is on 2 of my teams.
-Matt Breida- Very nice game from the UDFA rook. He was fast, elusive and made not big mistakes other than a dropped ball. My knock on him was 2 plays he breaks through to the second level and gets easily tripped up by shoe string tackles. HIT THE WEIGHT ROOM ROOK LETS DO SOME SQUATS! Arrow up though.
-Raheem Mostert- if he wasn't AMAZING at ST he would be cut, eyes on you some day Joe Williams.
FB- Kyle JUICEEEECHECKKK- this continues to be one of my favorite FA signings, guy blows up holes and when given the rock runs like a mad man. Awesome trickery from KS on 4th down and goal on the trick pitch to KJ and it worked out great. He also catches the rock so well, really a great weapon to have on early downs play action as it surprises me let alone the defense. BIG TIME ARROW UP!
WR- finally a great game for our WR's.
Pierre Garcon- KS noticed that the Colts corners were playing off ball like we were last week and he planned it perfectly. I noticed a lot of quick slant/skinny posts from Garcon and he was constantly open and being peppered by Hoyer (ACCURATLEY!). I also LOVED his recognition of the tipped pass that made a HUGE first down on the game tying drive late in the 4th quarter. This guy is a stud and can really help the QB underneath with sure hands and he has been worth every penny of that contract. Keep the attitude up...REP!
Marquise Goodwin- Goody was really awesome, he has 2 catches on come back routes the last 2 weeks and he works back to the ball and then catches WITH HIS HANDS and not his body, very nice job. 2 weeks in a row he makes a circus DEEP ball catch that (hoyer didn't overthrow like usual LOL) and he makes these grabs. I really like Quise but the only negative is he is ALWAYS hurt, the guy is way to small and will definitely not be our number 1 or 2 next year this I can promise you. Guys that take the top off a defense are definitely valuable and he is perfect for that.
Trent Taylor- unfortunate that there isn't much to report here as I thought he may turn the corner with the offense but again he was phased out and only had 1 catch that I noticed. GREAT play on the pick play at the end when BH hit Kittle on the tuddy, go re-watch the play you will notice TT created this TD. I still like this kid a lot , wait until he has a QB.
TE
Kittle was a man on a mission on that last drive, he ran hard strong routes and displayed awesome hands. Great draft pick in the 5th round! I thought he was much more decisive in this game than last game and I really see a step forward being taken by him. He actually blocked better in this game as well. ARROW UP!
OL-
Honestly not much to report here because I thought 2 weeks in a row the protection was STOUT, they really were good enough to win another game. Here is what I did notice.
Staley- this wasn't his best game, he got beaten like a rented Mule by Jabal Sheard 2 times and sacked Hoyer, One of them was a 3 man rush late in the game and deep in our territory where he was 1 on 1..it was embarrassing. Also Staley had a rough day in the run game, overall his worst game of the season.
Fusco- this guy sucks, im tired of watching him laying on his back in the running game and a D lineman on top of him. he's so bad LOL its exhausting to write about. He was easily moved in pass pro just like every week. When him and Kilgore double team they do a good job.
Kilgore- Read Fusco
Tomlinson- better in pass pro but took some BAD holding penalties and also had a bad false start penalty. Very undisciplined just like the rest of the team WAY too many penalties
Brown- Solid day also not his finest but wasn't clearly noticeable which says he was the BEST player on the line this week.
**Overall Hoyer had a nice amount of time to do damage but is just so darn average he didn't make the best of it. I thought the run blocking was putrid and that was there strength a few weeks ago. We clearly need a new C and new Guards but at least we have strong tackles. we will most likely sign Weston Richburg or Pugh depending on who the Giants let walk, they will command big money (which we have plenty of and with no questions should spend.)
Defense-
D Line-
DeForest Buckner was again a STUD. I noticed many plays where he was throwing Olineman and blowing up runs with a few TFLs also. He had a shared sack (mostly by him with Dumerville) Guy is by far our best player and its so noticeable. ARROW WAYYYY UP!
Earl Mitchell- this was Earls best game he was tremendous in run stopping up the gut. I noticed him on a few plays where he blew up the oline and stuffed Frank. Great guy to have on early downs, I really like this low key signing.
Arik Armstead- Ya know, I just don't understand this guy. He gets into the back field actually REALLLY often but once there his brain must blank because he never makes the play. its literally in his face and he just whiffs or gets excited or something. He also missed a bunch of tackles in the run game including one where Marlon Mack ran right by him to a big gain. Arrow down for now, get it together Arik.
Elvis Dumervill- I LOVE THIS GUY! on 3rd and long he creates havoc, great signing and get guy to have on the team. he is actually everything he has been in the past.
Aaron Lynch- Guy cant stay on sides. He is undisciplined, looks out of shape, I don't know he just doesn't do it for me like he did in the 3-4 defense. doesn't fit and will be gone at the end of the year. Nice depth though.
LBs-
Eli Harold- he is really a weak link. He cant tackle, he makes no wow plays and doesn't get to the qb. We need a new weak side LB, Malcolm smith and or ray ray Armstrong will take his job when Rebuen gets back and we surely will draft some LB's later next season.
Navarro Bowman- Bow has clearly lost a step. Another thumper type game where he was laying his body on the line and running hard into RBs and Olineman but he's just not as fast sideline to sideline. Ray Ray is MUCH more noticeable than bow. It seems his Achilles and knee or whichever is never going to be fully healed because he has no short area quickness meaning he cant change direction fast enough compared to these young horses like Marlon Mack who can cut on a dime. he's done after this year and will be cut, mark my words.
Ray Ray Armstrong- Wow we may have something here. He really is playing quite well in the run and pass game and had another HUGE pick reading the QB's eyes and making a sick play. ARROW UP! on Ray Ray, who would of thunk it.
Reuben Foster- WE MISS YOU COME BACK AND BRING US HOME!
Brock Coyle- please stop playing him he sucks- special teams guy. Too slow to start anyone
***NOTE_ Marlon Mack ABUSED our whole team a lot of this group. WAY too slow to stop a guy like that, we need to learn how to tackle again because this was a pathetic tackling performance especially in the second half.
CBs-
Rashard Robinson- He actually played a much better game. Rashard got his head around on a few balls and made plays. When he did get beat he used his speed to get back into the play. Overall definitely our best outside corner and hopefully can build on this game. TY went nuts but if you watch it was not on RR.
Dontae Johnson- He is really bad everyone, Brissett continuously went after DJ and it showed why. TY beat him a few times like a drum it was porous and it shows why the regime before was never really high on him. PLEASE REPLACE QUICK!
K'Wuan Williams- Another strong game from Kwil, very happy with this signing. He blew up a screen and crushed the WR on the plays. He also was very good at tackling RB's.
Akehllo Witherspoon- guys is made of glass so far- didn't see much of him early on. cant be worst than DJ though, hope he plays soon.
** overall, this group sucks. Hopefully AW is good and can eventually show us his worth. RR can still turn it around but DJ sucks and I wouldn't even be mad if we overhauled this whole group.
Safety
Jimmy Ward- Jimmy can actually play pretty well as a deep safety but seriously he had a REALLY bad game. Got blow right past by TY Hilton 2 times including 1 deep ball catch. As an eraser in the Earl Thomas role your job is to let NOBODY GET BEHIND YOU, welp he just didn't do it this game. EVEN worst when RR went down they moved Jimmy back to outside corner..that was even more pathetic to watch. I wouldn't mind him being replaced if he doesn't make some wow plays and to his 1st round pick potential.
Q Tartt- I love Q he plays like a monster, hits like a train and is always around the ball. Honestly when Reid is back on would replace Ward with Q. Nice game even though he missed a few tackles as well and needs to work on WRAPPING up and not just laying the wood.
***WE MISS YOU ERIC REID!! him and tart would be a nice tandem
Lorenzo Jerome- Happy we cut him, he tried hard today but was well behind on talent level. KS and the FO clearly saw the same thing.
Kicker- Robbie Gould is awesome- that is all
Coaching- KS is doing a great job of limiting Hoyer with play action and a lot of quick easy flat passes to get the offense moving. personnel is holding this team back not coaching so keep it up kyle. I will note that it took KS 3 quarters to see that they were running play action every time on First down and we would bite on the run EVERY single time mostly Armstead actually. Finally they jumped it in the 4th Quarter for a sack.
**NFL TEAMS ARE BUILT from the Inside out. we are doing it the right way trust the process. The tackles are great, the dline is/will be great and the special teams is outstanding. now we start to get pieces around that starting with QB in draft or Kirk cousins and then some weapons at WR. REUBEN full time in the middle and some new Corners and Guards. we will win 6-9 games next season, in my opinion depending no who is behind center. Thanks for reading again and hope you all have a great and productive week. I will be at niners/Giants coming from NJ with the wifey hope everyone gets loud for our first win!!

It's an enjoyable read Jersey. Thank you. I will also be at the NYG game so I expect to see you carrying binoculars, bifocals, pad, pen, slide rule, laptop etc. j/k
Would love to see what what you thought of Thomas, referees, and Pinion.

Believe it or not sir, some of us do come here to have a little fun. Football is supposed to be enjoyable. I think.
Then again, some of us just do not go for the clutter, no matter how insightful. Case in point? I work for a boss who demands that all communication with her be in short, one-line, bullet point statements. Therefore my communication looks like this:
I need this product
It's for a PR exercise
Can I get it tomorrow?
If I sent her anything longer than two lines, she considers it rambling and will not read it until I put the "ramble" into one-line bullet point statements.
