A great QB for LSU, SF and NY. I was in Yankee Stadium when he threw 7 touchdowns as a Giant against the Redskins. The Bald Eagle was a master, his bootleg at the goal line was textbook. In 1957 he should've won a title with the Niners but got beat by the Lions in a playoff game. He also had a great shot against the Bears in 1963 but a Larry Morris hit made him ineffective the second half. Was part of the "Million Dollar Backfield" with Hugh, "the King", McElhenny, Joe, "the Jet", Perry and John Henry Johnson. That entire backfield is in the HOF. One of the All-Time Greats.

wasn't he a Colt? This would be like remembering Jerry Rice as a Seahawk.
