Taking a look at TEAM stats here are some interesting tidbits:
Offense was offensive
28th in total yards
29th in points
29th on 3rd down completion with a 18% mark. Colts were 0% so at least we converted some!!!
24th in passing offense
4th most in sacks given up
23rd in QB rating
26th in rushing yds
16th in rushing yds average (hey we did something average)
24th in 1st down %
Defense was better:
13th in yards per game (not bad)
19th in pts per game
27th in 3rd down percentage (not good)
3rd in least amount of penalty yards (good)
23rd in passing yds allowed
10th in rushing yds allowed (good)
If you think about it, almost a complete opposite of last year. Lynch and Shanny both said they would emphasize stopping the run this year and they are off to a good start in that category. Others not so much...
It's game 1 of year 1 of a rebuild so nothing really surprising to see. I have faith Shanny will get the offense going at some point but we have to be patient. Most of the offensive woes can be contributed to bad guard play IMO. The team didn't address it in the offseason so we shouldn't be surprised. To give them credit they couldn't address every position in one offseason.

Just hoping for a better start but well see.

we got like a million first round picks on the defense, and zero 1st rounders on the offense. The defense needs to be a lot better than that. Offense is what it is. Shanny and Lynch wanted to start defensively.

If we had some points on the board it probably gives the D better success vs the pass and getting more pressure.

I really am not gonna focus on the team stats over or at about ATLEAST a month as far as offense goes.

We do not draft offense in the 1st round anymore. Honestly, what do you expect?
