I've been to the old Vet stadium on a Monday night in the mid-90's. Niners kicked the eagles butts. I went without any Niner gear on, as the philly fans are a bunch of low-lifes. Some guy next to me had a Niners jacket on, and was pelted with ketchup packets and anything they could throw at him all game. I just sat quietly and smiled each time the Niners scored. Fights all over, fireworks lit IN the stands, etc. This was the game that made security finally set up a holding cell in the stadium for rowdy fans until the police arrive to get them. I've also heard of a fan who dressed in another teams jersey had someone just walk up to them and dump their food on top of their head. I guess that's what happens to fans when their team sucks and hasn't won a championship EVER. Bunch of angry red-neck fans.

Omar!
From the area and, though I can't speak to tickets, I can tell you that depending on where you want to stay (Philly or the suburbs and drive in) there are decent options. In the city I usually do Priceline in the Center City and Waterfront areas and have gotten some good deals on rooms at Marriott for about a buck and a quarter. In the Suburbs there is a cluster of hotels in Mt. Laurel NJ that are in the $100 a night range and about a 15-20 min drive from Philly. The Philly hotels are nice and closer to the stadium, but parking will cost you another $20+ a night. If you stay in Philly, don't drive to the game--Uber or take a taxi. If you come from NJ you can try and find street parking off of Broad St. and walk Over--I suggest parking around Dickinson on the North side of Broad--or use one of the lots near the stadium, though that kinda sucks...would probably Park in a garage in Center City and walk/cab in again. The stadium, while new-ish, has really packed the seats in tightly and theyare at this crazy steep angle--I wouldnt pound too many beers and stand up a lot--it feels like you might tumble all the way to the turf if you lose your balance, lol.

RIP

As far as tickets there going for about $100 and up atm, ive been checking into them since ill be getting mine soon...I stay in the King of Prussia/ Valley Forge area which is 20-25 mins west of Philly, Hotels are alot cheaper around here versus in the city as expected. If your gonna be around a couple days I recommend staying at the Radisson Hotel at the Valley Forge Casino($130/night) and then taking the 45 min train ride into the city. Theres also a huge mall in King of Prussia(2nd biggest in the U.S.). If your gonna stay in the city like another poster said Front St. is nice and maybe check out South St., dont really spend much time in Philly anymore so couldnt tell you what hotel to stay at...You also dont have to worry about Philly fans, rock that 9ers gear and be proud, I do anytime SF is in town, you might get comments here and there but no different than any other stadium. I usually go to a gm or two a yr cause my girl is a huge Eagles fan and we always brought our son whose 12 now and hes been going for yrs, its more of a family atmosphere these days, not like it used to be in the 90's.
Philly fans ain't s**t!

I'm going to that game too. Pumped but was told by all my friends to not wear Niners gear if I want to keep it clean. Xfinity live is the spot everybody goes for a good pre and post game time right in the lot.
