So glad to see the GM Lynch and the front office recognized the importance of speed and versatility. Most of us have been demanding for speed, speed and speed. But this front office have added speed with versatility and attitude (Tude)!!!
Who are you excited to see with speed or versatility or both with tude? I'll start.
Most obvious:
Thomas and Foster
But want to see more of:
Joe Williams
A. Witherspoon
Trent Taylor
George Kittle
A,Colbert (S/CB) 7th pick. Hope he makes the team as special team
KD Cannon (UDFA)
Victor Bolden (UDFA)

I just finished reading Peter King's MMQB article regarding the 49ers draft room, and the biggest takeaway I got from it is a GM and Head Coach 100% in sync with each other.
There were no ACL picks common in Baalke's drafts. I think the only few picked that panned out were Dial and Reaser.
There were no picks that you would say "how does that fit our system" like Baalke's selections of Driskel, Garnett, Bell, Carradine, Harold, etc.
The biggest takeaway I got from this draft was Shanahan saying "I can't leave draft day unless I have the Iowa QB and the Utah RB" for his offense. He was declarative and the front office made it happen.
No news swirling of how the GM ignored the HC. No news about schematic fits. No news about lying/deciving the media.
The "finally" for me was watching a group of men actually stick to their word and show class, heart, and functionality in a franchise that's shown the opposite ever since the Yorks took control.
It's about f**king time.

Still have a ton of picks next year. Can't always do it in one off-season, but hey, we still have Eric Rogers coming off injury. Maybe he surprises?

If Hyde doesn't play lights out, it could be a new WR and RB very early.

Receiver still is a huge need. Playmakers in general. Seems like the strategy was to rebuild the defense this year and get serviceable players on offense this year. Not a very appealing atmosphere for Cousins.

The trade up for that qb still has me,
shouldn't complain when just about all of baalke's picks basically had me

All of us would have liked that WR but the top 3 guys went quick, and we have shed the guys who hung around here what seemed like forever, and replaced them with a bevy of guys , some legit, some long shots, with new blood. But we have some talent, just not the #1 guy. Lot of good looking young guys too. On D , however, we were bottom of the barrel and had to address that, so we did with front to back Thomas, Foster, Ahkello. Nobody can really complain that we took a big chunk out of our D misery, and fixed it wtih top flite guys. Next yr, QB and WR. This yr was lousy for QB and there were just 3 head turners at WR. This is just yr 1 of a 6 yr plan. Man, i am delighted with what was accomplished. Oh, and we went from virtually no decent depth to substantial depth, good , high quality depth, all around.

If you read the OP, CJ Beathard was the QB that Shannahan wanted for his system. He knows that CJ can handle the complexity and Lynch payed a premium to make his HC happy. The HC wanted the qb and the RB. Lynch said OK I will make it happen.

Let me start by saying we had a better 1st round that I ever could have dreamed. Basically we got a guy in Solomon Thomas that we were planning on taking anyway at #3, but then were able to move up and get Reuben Foster in exchange for a pick that we didn't even own at the beginning of the draft. First of all, that is unbelievably good luck, but it solidifies my restored faith in our front office. Damn near every overall draft grade I've seen has been an A or higher... with the only question mark being CJ Beathard in the 3rd.
So let me address Beathard... Prior to his Senior season at Iowa he was projected to be a 3rd round pick (Mel Kiper Jr. had him ranked as the 5th best draft-eligible QB prospect overall) by many talent evaluators. Going into the draft he was likely a 5th or 6th round grade for most, but I do like what he brings to the table. He's not the most athletic, but was unquestionably one of the tougher college QB's over the course of the past 2 years. He won a lot of games, while playing injured, behind a sub-par offensive line at Iowa. I question where he would have graded out if he'd played healthy at a bigger school...? The NFL bloodlines are there, and I can honestly envision him as a very solid backup QB for the next few years.
Mel Kiper's "favorite" pick of the 49ers was George Kittle in the 5th round, and Beathard's former teammate at Iowa. He wasn't one of the top TE prospects, but is one who really has a chance to make a difference right away. I don't necessarily think he was used properly in college, but he tested very well at the combine and will surprise a lot of people.
*As for guys that weren't drafted I would've liked to see us go after Ricky Seals-Jones (6'5" 235) but it sounds like he's going to end up in Arizona. KD Cannon (6'0" 180) from Baylor is supposedly coming in, and I would think has a decent chance of making the team. Another guy I'd like to see us make a run at is Dylan Cole out of Missouri State. He's a guy that after the combine was projected as one of the Top 15-20 LB's in the draft, but ended up going undrafted and nobody really knows why? A 1st Team All-American at 6'1" 240 he led the nation with 12.9 tackles/game last season (40.5 for a loss) with 5 INT and 5 Sacks.

Aren't many 6'3" wide receivers that can fly, and speed is a requisite for Shanny.
