How would you rate the this crop of free agents?

We could have signed 5 of the top free agents and still finished with under 8 wins.

We have a depleted roster. You install a scheme and build through the draft. Once you have DRAFTED your key pieces and are ready to compete, you supplement and compliment with the top free agents.

I understand winning 8 games this year will be more fun then winning 6, but it would also set us back in the long run. No point is wasting all of our cap space now.

We strategically brought in free agents who are familiar with and can help install the scheme for the rookies. 90% of them aren't intended to even be here anymore by the time the miners are reasonably expected to contend.

What a depressing outlook. 2-3 years just to get to 8-10 wins.

Wake me up when Lynch is being escorted off the premises.

With as bad as this roster looked last season, it's called a realistic outlook. Sorry we didn't pull a madden and buy every single FA available.

You should be escorted out of this forum.

He has been one of the more emotional KapSquad members.

I called him on his crap when he started un with it. When did he start? Just after Kaepernick was told he wouldn't be resigned.

About 3-4 of the other guys were doing the same thing...before they disappeared.

If Lynch/Shanahan had kept Kaepernick around these guys would be all roses.
Thefree agent group is good. We got a very good WR, a great FB and some vets that will fit nicely with a crop of rookies.

You don't blow $100 million in free agency first year of a rebuild. Anyone crying about that doesn't know anything about football or they're motivated by something else. Maybe both.

We pretty much upgraded all of our weak positions, while getting rid of those bad players as well. We didn't bring in all-pro's, but we brought in some good players. With the way this roster is setting up, I would expect around a 6 win seasons. With a solid draft and another good FA, in 2 years from now hopefully we are 8-9-10 win team.

What a depressing outlook. 2-3 years just to get to 8-10 wins.

I'm not about big flashy names but it would have been great to get something other then a great fullback and a ageing ok WR as our main pick ups...Solid C+...

BS. As I've already said, I never wanted Shanahan and definitely never wanted Lynch and his moves thus far are all that's needed. Could care less about Kap being retained.

I wanted McDaniels and Riddick and definitely, don't want to become the Washington Redskins 1.0.

No to Cousins and no to Shanahan retreads.

Just because we disagree, no reason to make up the reasons.

They said the same thing when we traded for Boldin.

F%ck Ravens fans. WTF do they know.

A lot of vaginas are bleeding on here. How about being patient and trusting the process. No one really knows how well the 49ers did in free agency until they play. Any one trying to justify a guess as a factual opinion is an idiot.

Lynch was talking about "stay awake" during free agency... I'm still "awake" but deep yawns here n there. I hope he isn't done yet. I'd like to see at least one, aside from Garcon and Juice, impactful FA worth the bucks (probably not happening). I'm not gonna lie though we went from an F+ roster to about a C+ in an instance.

Man, I hope we nail it in the draft

Awp, besides being angry, you are letting your emotions cloud your views of our stellar GM and HC, who have done a bang up job, cutting away dead wood, which included 24 guys. Last I checked, only 4 got signed by someone. Ergo, we had some crap players who after being cut , nobody wanted. I would say that is pretty damn good work getting rid of guys no one else wanted either. That means to date we have upgraded at least 20 or more players, almost half a squad. Rather than knock the GM and HC, they deserve praise for getting rid of bad wood...or if you wish, crappy players.

Our new GM and HC have done a great job upgrading us damn near everywhere. Unfortunate you don't see it. And your posts have fallen off a cliff, if you are interested. If you don't like our new coaches and GM, nor do you like our players, don't torture yourself. Go follow a team you can like. If you don't like it here, just leave. Not many will mind.

And yes ,that is how bad your posts have gotten .

Sorry not going to leave my team because I dislike all the above. I will voice my displeasure when I see fit, which has been every free agent signing thus far. I don't post much. But when a free agent is signed I post and so far they have all been garbage.

I'm not giving much credit to clearing dead weight, that's the minimum a GM's duties are, especially from a 2-14 season. Anyone could do that.

Right? I mean jeez. They got 6 years basically. You would think they would have the balls for some real change. He won't nail the draft because he's already conceding this season and the near seasons as well. He will draft the same as Baalke, dudes with potential that need time to learn, I mean what's the difference, his free agent signings basically concede a lost season, might as well choose the most talented but not ready guys in the draft.

LOL

Somehow Baalke's ACL curse lives on... we better not draft anymore of those guys. I'll call it a decent / solid draft if we stay away from injury prone players.

I guess culture change isn't important to people. We suck and we have mentally weak players being replaced with players that want to be here and actually play and not mail the season in after 2 weeks. That's worth the partial amount of unused cash we have.
