Wake me up when the Shanahan experiment is over. All that cap space, lets spend on 3rd class players!

With the Bears likely landing Glennon and the Jets likely tanking for top QB next year, I say we try to trade back a few spots, even if we don't get fair value according to the trade chart, and take Trubisky. I could see Jacksonville or Carolina wanting Fournette bad enough to give up a 2nd/3rd or combination.

Love posts that show ZERO understanding of where the 49ers are at, what time of the year it is, and how things seem to have changed 180 leakwise as opposed to pre ksjl.

In QB Brian Hoyer's four full games last season with the Bears, he averaged 329.5 yards passing. The #49ers averaged an NFL-worst 181.9 YPG.

He was the best stop gap option out there. 25td and 7 int. 4000 passing yards at 63 percent in last 15 games in last two seasons.
If we get cousins or draft a rookie that develops then we end up with the best backup in the NFL. Great signing.

Does anyone think that this means we will be drafting a QB or maybe going after the injury prone Romo?

I'm not upset, but part of me kinda wants the 49ers to have the first pick next year... DARNALD FROM USC!!!! would be a solid addition to the QB spot.

Good backup fringe starter. Couldn't go into fa without a qb signed.

The 49ers had to find someone to play QB, and Brian Hoyer is a low-risk, moderate-reward option (by @ChrisBurke_SI) https://t.co/d50BHnP9Eu pic.twitter.com/OHrX5vvCHR
