Mehhh...Ricky's time was up plus he was getting to be a distraction (see his "fo what?!" selfish rant his first month with Philly)

Biggest mistake was not drafting better at RB in '95 (Terrell Davis!) and trying to ride out Young and Rice all season, with only Derek Loville and Adam Walker in the backfield (after Floyd got hurt). IIRC they went the washed-up FA route for RB in '95 (Ricky Ervins) but cut him

Kirby was a stopgap in '96 and Hearst finally came in '97, but then Young and Rice got hurt first game, with Jerry all but gone the rest of the year (TO and JJ at least developed)
Lets be honest Ricky stays on that team and we win at least one more Superbowl, Bar None doesn't blow out his knee and Young's career is probably extended...

bingo was his namo.

Lol. Easily the first that should pop in mind.
When everyone and their Momma knew we couldn't keep Alex without letting some of our defense go...we STILL got two 2nd round draft picks.

I'm sure if you visit that trade announcement thread, you would find everyone was shocked and excited we got that much.
