When was the last good 49ers Player Trade? (Non-draft day)

1987) Steve Young (from TB): 2nd/4th Rd picks '87 draft

1992) Charles Haley (to DAL): 2nd Rd '93, 3rd Rd '94

1993) Joe Montana, David Whitmore, 3rd Rd '94 (to KC): 1st Rd '93

2013) Alex Smith (to KC): 2nd Rd '13, 2nd '14

2013) Anquan Boldin (from BAL): 6th Rd '13

2015) Vernon Davis (to DEN): 6th '16, 6th '17

These are just off the top of my head...feel free to add any more (thought the Woodson-Langham swap in '98 was a trade, but turned out to be corresponding FA signings by BAL and SF)

Young trade seems to be the last incoming blockbuster (though it might not have been covered as such in '87, in hindsight it was)

I've only included the initial players/picks transacted and not what the Niners subsequently converted the picks into

At the time I thought trading down for Rashaun Woods was great....in hindsight

Boldin for a 6th rounder.

...and yes Haley trade = cost 3 Lombardis

We got Tim Harris for a 2. Was supposed to be a bookend to Charles Haley. He was a pretty good pass rusher.
Fred Dean trade turned out to be our missing piece like Haley was for Dallas.

Player Trade - tough call - the Fred Dean trade was excellent!

Kerley for Thomas

Kerley last year for Brandon Thomas ended up being a steal.

Boldin for a 6th.

Lloyd for a 3rd and 4th (would go on to pick bad players Brandon Williams and Jay Moore)
