Thanks 816. Where is the dropdown for Personnel Groupings on the site? Man, looking at that site is a visual overload.

It's quirky as hell.....you just have to lay your cursor or tap the number in he personnel database to get the more in depth numbers.

So in the 2016 SB, on 2 and 11 with 4 to go...Kyle comes out in 11 personnel and runs this

That site tells us that this is what ATL did last year in 11 personnel

Armed with this knowledge you can see how a playcaller could be comfortable from a personnel grouping in which they had a QB rating of 119+ for the year.

Improved over 2017:
- total yards
- rush yards
- TD/Int ratio
- Completion %
- First Downs
- Points for
- yards per pass
- yards per rush
- QB rate

Decreased vs 2017
- pass yards
- rush tds

Overall is not shocking that the offense is in good hands. Of course RZ needs to be dialed in.....but overall to have improvement on all these areas despite losing the franchise QB is very encouraging. Also, not necessarily all directly tied to offense but penalites also decreased from 2017.

I'll provide personnel grouping info when the site I use updates their's.

These are from 2017 but I'm hoping to update when that site updates. It usually takes a couple weeks after the year for them to do that. It's a real cool site though.
Thanks great stats & info

Good stuff. Pretty sure the catch distribution % is an anomaly for a Kyle offense with a TE catching most of the passes - more than double the second place pass catcher. Injuries to the WRs, RB by committee, rotating QBs all played a role in some odd numbers when it comes to catch distribution.

Crazy that we can't win with all of those great numbers on offense

All evidence points to a historically bad turnover differential as the culprit. A healthy Jimmy G and heavy investment in an improved pass rush will do wonders.
