........OK wait I take that back, Tom Cable is a name I could lose my mind over.

This is about it for me as well. Cable is a neanderthal. He has spent very short stints at various places, seldom more than a year or two.

Plus, I really believe in hiring former OC's for HC as the relationship between the QB and the HC and OC is the most important on the team. There have been some DCs who became great coaches but they had loyal OCs who stuck with them for some time...at least I can't think of a successful former DC who had different OCs every year and still succeeded.

I don't want Cable, but he's been a decent OC in the past. He and Lynn would be better fits if SF wants ground and pound, which I hope they get away from.
