This is long but fun, been reading different forums out there and people have very little hope for this team. This is a Niners team I loved since I was 3 years old, and I hate, HATE, that everyones talking sh*t about them all the time. Ever since the front office got rid of Harbaugh we all have seen the crap that is being fed to us every week. I plead, I beg, I freaking implore you Jed buddy, make the right changes, please!!!, we all want to see our niners back, the team that just took over games, and destroyed everyone physically and mentally. Did some small research and this is my shot at giving Jed some advice, I'm more than sure you guys can come up with something better but here is my shot at it.

Front Office: Fire Balkee: no one likes him, I mean no one, I kinda feel bad for the guy, he had some bad breaks but he also dug himself his own grave. If anything this move will boost fan moral.
Fire Chip Kelly: you need to have the perfect personnel to run this guys offense and I don't think will ever do. His defenses always take a big hit if they play offense like they should, its hard to win like that in the NFL, and he rarely adjust the offense to the game in the 2nd half. I know some players like playing for the guy, and he was given very little to work with, but I still think you need someone more of a leader type who inspires people to play hard, Harbaugh type in other words, the guy belongs in college.
Fire the D.C. as well.

Hire Mike Shanahan as GM, he atleast knows football and its been noted the he has an eye for talent. Make him take full control of the staff and player personnel. You all know where I'm going with this.
Head Coach Kyle Shanahan, he is a great x's and o's guy who can motivate if needed, who will also have the full support from the GM. He can always lean on the GM for guidance as well.
offensive coordinator kyle he'll want to call his own plays I'm betting.
defensive coordinator Todd Bowles if he gets fired from Jets which it's looking like it. We need to be more aggressive and I think with Bowles we are able to do that.I remember he was very tough as the cardinals DC a couple of years ago. He just wasn't ready to be a head coach IMO.
the first three steps seem possible if Jed works it.
Keep Kap, there really isn't anyone much better out there, even if they draft someone they won't be ready. He just needs an offense that is suited for him. Strong running game should help that, and a good coach...I know I know he isn't a true QB we all know his issues. We just need him to run an offense where he is not flinging it all over the place and have true players who can help him make plays. If he just plain sucks then we just release him next year. But I think a strong play action offense can at least make it simple for him to read and react plays much quicker.
Okay what we need is a major upgrade in several positions so it's gonna cost some money to bring in talent, with a couple of releases (Brooks) and a few players off the books, they should be able to have over 85 million in cap space if they keep Kap.

Free Agents (dream version)
FS Eric Berry
DT Poe
WR Jeffery
LT Matt Kalil
LG Kevin Zeitler
TE Cameron Brate

Half of those guys are getting franchised so its not happening but realistically we do need more talent everywhere so here are real guys we can get.
Defense FA
SS Barry Church a sure tackler who has led the team in tackles before, we need to tackle better out there, and an improved cover guy.
ILB Donte Hightower Probably the best free agent LB who would automatically become a strong 1-2 with Bowman, Don't know if New England is willing to spend on the guy.
DT Poe I know he was in the dream version but we have to stop the run, we just have to, he would add amazing value to our team and help the development of our young DEs besides freeing up our LBs.
OLB Chandler Jones a pressure specialist that will probably be the most expensive out the group, but in dire need of one and would be amazing in a Bowles pressure defense.
Trade 3rd round pick for Joe Haden he had a bit of a down year because of injury, rumors of trade bait happen through out the year and defensive coaches were calling him out. This move will help move Ward to FS.
These 5 guys are about 40 million a year, Non are top 5 at their position so they are not getting Max deals but most will be getting 6-8 million a year.If they were to land these guys this would be a great accomplishment and a great improvement from what we have now.
Offense
G Ronald Leary starter for the Cowboys and has been solid and should be affordable. Brings an instant starter to provide us with depth.
WR Kenny Britt the possession big guy that Kap needs to be his go to guy. Has a 1,000 yards receiving this year with no QB a great accomplishment if you ask me.
RB Isaiah Crowell an issuance guy for Hyde and we won't have to break the bank, had good season this year especially in the redzone.
QB2 Brain Hoyer A veteran presence who has won games and should be cheap.
This would be around 25 million a year for these 4 guys giving us 9 key free agents at 65 million.

Draft
Rd1 OLB Myles Garrett best player projected and a lot of draft boards predicted to fall to us.
Rd 2 Rb Christian McCaffery This is your swiss army that will move the chains running and receiving. Great guy to keep the chains moving on short passes. Shanahan did wonders with Gabriel there in Atlanta imagine what he could do with McCafferey.
Rd 3 (comp) TE Jordan Leggett athletic recieving TE which should grow into a great player.
Rd 4 QB Chad Kelly cocky SOB and bit of a temper, but natural leader on the field and hell of an arm with some athletic ability. With a year or two of grooming under the Shanahans he could turn out to be great.
Rd 5 C Kyle Fuller depth more than anything
Rd 6 wr Taywan Taylor caught a lot of balls in West Kentucky depth.
Rd 7 FB Freddie Stevenson blocked for Cook for a couple of years and considered the best fb in college.
all of these of coarse are picks where they are predicted to go.

Our depth chart would be
Offense
QB1 Kap QB2 Hoyer QB3 Chad Kelly
RB1 Hyde RB2 Crowell RB3 McCaffery
FB Stevenson
WR1 Kenny Britt WR3 McCaffery WR5 Eric Rodgers
WR2 Torrey Smith WR4 Ellington WR6 Taylor
TE1 McDonald TE2 Jordan Leggett TE3 Celek
LT1 Joe Staley T2 John Theas
LG1 Ronald Leary G2 Andrew Tiller
C1 Garrett C2 Kilgore
RG1 Zeales G2 Kyle Fuller
RT Trent Brown T2 John
This offense is not gonna scare anyone, it's not meant too. It fits Shanahan's offense of strong play action, which is non existent in our offense right now, should be able to move the chains and score some points.
Defense
LE1 Arik Armstead DE2 Quinten Dial
DT1 D. Poe DT2 Glenn Dorsey
RE1 Buckner DE2 Tony Jerrord
ILB1 Navarro Bowmen ILB2 Ray Ray Armstrong
ILB 1 D. Hightower ILB2 willhoite
LOLB1 Myles Garrett OLB2 Aaron Lynch
ROLB1 Chandler Jones OLB2 Hodges
LCB1 Joe Hadden CB2 Redmond
RCB2 Brock CB2 Johnson
FS1 Jimmie Ward S2 Eric Ried
SS1 Barry Church S2 Truatt
This Defense won't be a top 5 but with all the talent should provide pressure and be better tacklers overall, don't see why wouldn't finish in the top 10.
K Dawson
P Pinion
KR/PR Ellington
I know this is all a big stretch but its a plea to Mr. Jed to make this team great again (like America), we all miss our team, we miss our Sunday Football (I hate doing honey dues, sh*t sucks). Anyways you guys can give it a try a little long I know and probably some inaccuracies but you guys can judge it or improve it, but I think that roster, GM and coaches are possible if Jed really tried. Best case scenario we have a winning season because it can't be worse than now. Question is how would you improve this team?

That was a lot of scrolling.
I like, but will even half those FA's wanna come here?
Good work. No Jeremy Kerley for the slot? I wouldn't count on Ellington. You cutting RG Joshua Garnett and LCB Rashard Robinson? Cut Brock for Robinson. Beadles as depth? Reid won't sign to be a backup. Hodges will push Wilhoite off the roster as ILB depth. I'd resign Chris Jones over TJE. Good FA targets. If we got half of those and Garrett somehow, that would be epic.
ain't contending for s**t as long as owners and front office keep meddling and sabotaging the football operations.
