He is already pulling the strings.

He's assuming more power in addition to what he already has. Paraag and his algorithms would have final say on draft picks and free agents.

Maiocco confirmed on 95.7 today that he's heard the Yorks are not high on Gamble.

Big news if true. That means we might get a GM from the outside.

(Unless it's Marathe. If so, may God help us all)
You watch in 17 days Jed will speak and tell us he will be evaluating everything on every one and will get things fixed.
18 Days O'NEIL is fired
19 Days Jed will be meeting with Trent.
25 Days decides to fire Trent.
27 Days says he will set out to get the Right Guy to bring the Glory days back to The 9ers. Will take his time to make the right choice.
27½ Days Jed named Tom Gamble our new GM.

I was cool with this until day 27.5.

Still, Gamble is better than Paraag. And the most likely scenario.
if anyone wants to hear the interview matt maiocco and why gamble will not be the GM:

Summary? I wanna give Baalkelly another year personally.

Basically that the 49ers never saw Gamble as a GM, and that if he was going to be the next GM, they would have made the move a month ago.

He also all abut confirmed that Baalke is gone.

Did he suggest Marathe would replace, or if they would look outside the organization? Or does he have no idea as of right now?

MM is not as connected like he used to be

Even TB said he wasn't the one who made Gamble the Asst GM, so the FO had to see something to promote him.

I will listen when i get a chance, thanks !
until it happens i wont have any faith in Jed fixing this team. still wont have much faith afterwards but itll be a step in the right direction if we s**t can baalke

Incorrect. It was Baalke's idea to promote Gamble. He said it himself.

"Niners general manager Trent Baalke said Sunday it was his idea to promote front-office executive Tom Gamble to assistant general manager, and he knew the move would invite speculation about his job security."
