We're about to finish 2-14 at the very most.
What justification will they have to make zero changes? Or will they simply change the DC and say that's good enough?

The Yorks are football idiots but they're not that dense.
49ers fans are so angry, they're resigned to scenarios that make illogical sense.

That's why the Paraag promotion makes so much sense. The Yorks can fire Baalke to appease the fans, yet keep their level of comfort by elevating one of their guys to GM. They'll justify it by pointing to how Paraag was being groomed for this role going back over a decade and already handles contracts.

2 - 14 is way to optimistic

I highly doubt/hopeful (tht they won't)that they would promote him 2 gm...his demotion this past year was a clear sign that he should stick with the numbers and out of the football side of things

It's the NFL, and you never know. Despite how garbage we've been, I can see us lucking into another win against the 4-win Rams. We almost lucked into wins against the Cardinals, Dolphins and Jets.
That's also why I said "at the very most" since I don't see this team having a chance against Atlanta or Seattle barring one of those teams doesn't show up.

You under estimate the incompetence of the Yorks. Assigning a guy who has no background in football and zero business being a gm to be a gm embodies everything that is the Yorks.

How is going from Chief Strategy Officer and Executive VP in charge of football operations to GM a promotion?
He is already pulling the strings.

Countdown to a Baalke contract extension, and Paarag promotion to assistant GM.
