Coaching, A. Way less penalties, no delay of games, way less qb sacks, scoring TD's instead of field goals. Need I say more, the defense is the issue right now. The team is scoring points, the defense needs to get its head out of its arse
Gabbert made two crucial errors though, with the interception that could have easily been a TD and a 4-yard completion on 4th and 6, so it's not all on the defense. Defense was doing their job until the 3rd down penalty and after that they fell apart. Not to make excuses, a good team wouldn't let one call get to their heads like that.
As awful as Gabbert is, the 4th and 6th play was not his fault. Watching the replay, there was no where to go with the ball and it was either a terrible play call or terrible route by the receiver running a 4 yard out instead of a 6 yard out to get the first down.

It's at the very least partially his fault, it's basically the last play of the game and he KNOWS he has to get at least six yards to continue the drive. His awareness of where the sticks are has always been concerning to me and it hasn't changed throughout his entire career.

In the Cowgirls game that glaring for the ILB position. Over the course of the rest of the season its gonna become even clearer. We simply don't have the talent to win.

This Baalke roster is just horrible. We simply do not have the talent to match up against even an average team (like Dallas missing multiple starters). I can see Chip's direction, and it's pretty creative, much more than last season. But he simply don't have the talent to pull any consistant success out of it, in particular at QB and WR, and I think it's caused Chip to more predictable. What we are looking at is the result of Baalke's roster at work with nobody to place blame on. Teams are running all over our D-line. Our defensive backfield is good and deep but the lack of a pass rush is exposing them. Tank? Eli? Thanks Baalke!
As I predicted that ILB position is weak, and showing the signs of being completely ignored for two straight drafts. Behind Bowman there's nothing. Last year I lamented that Baalke was relying on a guy who at that time was coming back from a serious knee injury and a few backups in Wilhoite and Hodges. This season was no different with just Armstrong in the mix. Ignoring the ILB position is simply unforgivable. The only thing that rivals that is how he's handled the WR and QB position.
What's become plainly, painfully clear to me is this team is just outmatched talent wise, and there's no nice way to put that. This loss was particularly frustrating to me, as it showed this team has no chance at getting to .500.
To be fair, this was a game until Bowman got hurt. As soon as I saw Bellore in there I knew it was over.

You cant draft DL in the 1st round two years in a row and still be unable to stop the run. I question the coaching on the DL. The lack of pass rush is due to the LBs and lack of them we have on the outside.
Offense is exactly what you expect from this roster. Torrey Smith is a deep threat only, and will never be a guy who moves the chains and catches 6-8 balls a game. The fact that we have not developed a single WR from the past several drafts is a joke. Patton, Ellington, Streater are not the answer. TIme to move on.

I disagree on gabbert. He was pinpoint accurate in the first half. They had our number the 2nd half. I believe its because they out coache us. Not just blaine can only play a half of football. great game plan in the beginning, and no changes made in the second half.

I'm sorry...but I call BS on that one in regards to ILB.
Patrick Willis Retired. Bowman got hurt. Chris Borland retired. Ray Ray Armstrong got hurt. Bowman got hurt again.
Bellore is like the 4th ILB and thats mainly for Special Teams.
How many teams are that deep at ILB?
I'm hoping Skov gets some game action.

Well at least the giants made it into the postseason on another even year and the Warriors have almost a dream team that will tear up the league.
Don't forget the Sharks. They should be a playoff team, too.

Is there any possibility of getting Rush off the practice squad and see if he can play at this level? Is Rush worse than Harold? Is there any possibility of getting Garnett to play OG to see if he can maintain the pass protection and get some more run blocking in there? How about Burbridge replacing Patton? Where is Dorsey? Is Pinion developing or does he to need to be replaced? How about Dial, TJE, and Blair on the DLine how are they playing?

Looks like Torrey smith is getting separation and beating teams deep like always with the highest yards per reception last year and in my opinion the best deep threat in the league or at least top 5. Too bad we don't have a quarterback to throw to him because he is open deep quite a bit. At least get a pass interference call because he is also the best at getting those. It's so frustrating when he is so good and we don't have a quarterback to throw to him. In Baltimore he had 11 touchdowns two years ago. because he had Flacco who isn't great but at least he does throw to wide receivers. I really think we're keeping in Blaine Gabbert to tank the season and get a high draft pick because we need a damn quarterback. In my opinion if Collin Kaepernick was playing even though I don't like him we would be two and two or maybe even three and one.
Chip Kelly knows Gabbert is not accurate. So I hope we get a top three pick and get the best quarterback or best pass rusher.

Peeps can have their issues with York/Baalke over Harbaugh, but they didn't push Patrick Willis, Justin Smith, Chris Borland, or Anthony Davis out the door. They didn't give Aldon the Alcohol, they didn't get Bowman hurt, and they didn't make Vernon Davis lose all ability to play football.
People can hold them responsible for losing Walker, Crab, and Iupati, but they couldn't afford Delanie, Crab took less money to move on, and they weren't going to pay that much for a guard.
Jed/Baalke deserve some blame, no question, but there were WAY, WAY too many other factors IMO to call it "self-inflicted".
Exact f**king ly. I completely agree.

How can these kids grow if they can't even stay on the field especially, together?
Even if only we had Ian Williams we might be three and one. He is great against the run and that was all we needed against the Cowboys and even would of helped tremendously against the Panthers. Sucks but at least it will help us get a great draft pick I hope our team loses this injury bug hex

You obviously did not see Blaine Gabbert's horrible throw for an easy touchdown to toys Smith to tie the game? I don't know what to tell you.

I know right? Trent already got a probable type player and Chris Borland and also found and brought in Ray Ray who was very good so those are two starting linebackers with Bowman as well. So that is three very good to elite Lbs. Job well done! Maybe we should hire a fortuneteller because it seems like the positions we try to overdraft tend to work out best. Remember when we had Frank Gore and let Michael James and that gamecock that was well worth a late fourth round pick? We drafted Carlos Hyde as well. We have been very unlucky with injuries and retirements so it is what it is.

It has been the "perfect storm." Harbaugh wore out his welcome before he polished his hand-picked QB. Retirements/injuries hit too many key players. Short-term cap issues dictated choices that worked out poorly.
Once the snow ball starts to roll downhill, it goes a long way.
Dallas had many injuries going into the game including at QB, OL and their #1 WR Didn't matter.
