It would be too radical of a change for Chip to make. Don't think he'd do it imo.

I know right but he does have plays that operate from under center.
It shouldn't be a problem to call at least a handful of these plays given its the same blocking scheme

Geesh, someone is uptight. Come on admit it, when you saw those letters, you didn't first see "Blindfury?"

Honesty I don't think chip changes. His offense is a 90-95% gun offense. The zone fake is so vital to his scheme. IMO, he changes QBs before changing offense.
This is very good information

Just go to youtube.com and type in Blaine Gabbert highlights.
It wouldn't let me post them on here.

In all seriousness, there was a reason why Joe & Steve never went to shotgun.....and it wasn't just because they had amazing footwork.
Eyes off the ball taking a shotgun snap was a detriment they didn't like, not worth the extra split second of time to throw.
Now there are challenges to playing under center, mostly having to be up front and personal with defenders talking s*** and the intimidation.
But on a schematic football sense, it has advantages unless you're 5'5 like Wicket.

Yes put Blaine under center, might as well put him in every possible situation to succeed.
I guess this is the one downside to the Chip Kelly offense - super innovative or whatever, but tied down to shotgun snaps most of the time.
I like the zone read as a switch up, but wish it wasn't the bread and butter of our offense.
Kubiak's offense sprinkled with Kellyisms would have been awesome.
Kubiak would have singlehandedly salvaged the 2014 season for us...........I know it.......

He definitely has under-center plays, but like Niners816 was saying, 90-95% of his offense is from the gun. He wants to spread the defense out and use the zone-read. Can't really do that from under center.
I think this year is all about finding out who fit's in Chip's offense going forward. He inherited a lot of the same players from the previous coaching staff(s) running a much different scheme. It will take some time to revamp the offensive personnel.

Ughh...Me too. He was my first choice last year when we hired Tomsula instead. No way he wasn't taking the Denver job though, him and Elway are tight.
