I don't watch the Panthers play very often, but when I have watched Cam drop back it looks like he often only takes three steps and plants his feet "hard" with a good, solid base under him. He doesn't rhythm hop like some quarterbacks do, he seems to often just stay planted in that spot surveying the field for an open receiver. If that is a strong tendency he has then maybe strong pushes up the gut from Armstead, Buckner, Dial and Purcell can disrupt him without the need for a lot of blitzing.

Establishing the pass is going to be really important early on in this game. Carolina is going to stack the line, essentially negating our rush. So it's imperative that Gabbert finds the soft spots behind Carolina's line and gets first downs. Then the front will start to crack for Hyde to bust through. If we come out and score a TD on our opening drive, that will be huge.
