He was almost certainly Chip's choice, but demonstrated he couldn't handle the speed of the pro game thus far. So when, despite Ponder's flaws, the latter showed he could be QB #3, and well-suited for the role of mimicking opponents' QBs during practice, Driskel became expendable.
Yeah, sorry, I forgot. Any player that doesn't make the team or is a bad player couldn't have been drafted by Baalke the Great!
This crap gets really boring after a short while. Nobody I have seen has claimed infallibility for Baalke. Do you understand that statement?

Nothing. Even Garrison Smith is on the Hawks Injured Reserve list. So perhaps there was a physical reason we let him walk?
