Lol as soon as you ask Minnesota if they'll trade anything for Ponder they hang up and decide to never do business with you again.

Ponder - Been a fan since his college days at FSU, showed some grit and played well this preseason.
At this point i would take the best offer for either of these QBs.... Gabberts the safest start, Kaep is the more explosive start, and Ponder may be the more consistent start.. Still confused....
I agree with everything you said.

Gabbert shouldn't even be named the starter at the beginning of the season. So what, he can manage the game? Ponder has more upside than Gabbert at least he will take shots down field Ponder even beat us when we were more elite team as a Viking. Guess lot of people liked first part of the A.Smith era. cause that's all Gabbert amounts to.

Kinda proves an old/vets will storm the field saying- "Winning cures everything".. As recent as yesterday Kaep was the worst QB on the team, Driskell was a hot commodity, and "things could get nasty in SD with Kaep. and military"/Vets will storm the field- to what we saying and hearing now. Kaep looked like a guy who just needed more time in pre-season, he got better since last week and as the game went on. He needs to STAY and take the spot from Gabbert @ 2-2 record/end of month.

Gabbert is a very fine back up , just trying to put it out for others to see the whole picture, we already have seen all that Gabbert can do and his numbers from end last yr till now hasn't changed even with a way better line . Today if he was in Kaepernicks position he would have stalled out on the first drive

HE is the best QB on the roster-Driskell, as some of you said is better than Kaep?, yeah rite, might wanna re-think that. AND LIKE I SAID PONDER OVERSHADOWED GABBERT IN 1 PLAY before, and should be our 3rd. QB. Driskell is safe to be waived and put on PS-nobodys in a rush to claim him after tonights performance, as MANY of u alleged
While I agree with what you said, Kaep will only get better when he gets more familiar with the system and his team. However, in the end, it depends on how many QBs they keep. Two w/Driskell on ps? Driskell needs seasoning, alot of it. If they don't intend to keep 3 and even if they do, find out what they are willing to offer, Vikings desperatly need a QB, what can they squeeze from the Vikes? Would you take a 4th for Ponder?
Remember Ponder played scrubs, he should look good since he was a former 1st rounder too.

Not saying Gabbert is going to be great, but Kelly has made lesser QBs have career seasons. Plus, sometimes putting a person in the right situation is critical. If Gabbert doesn't produce, Kaep will be more back in the fold and liked, but we will see.

Seems like maybe Boone might be a misfortune to a team.
Ponder played scrubs, the jury is still out for me.

That depends on a lot. Gabbert might get better in a month. Gabbert might get injured. No way to know. Unfortunately neither QB did much to distinguish themselves, but Gabbert's misses were in no man's land, while Kap's were more often close to INTs. Gabbert won the job. He is at THIS MOMENT the better QB. Who knows if Kap would have shown more if given one more game. It's possible. He shook off some rust and played better against the Charger's backups. Perhaps a third game would have set him apart (after all Gabbert was missing easy passes, and Kap uncharacteristically was able to throw swing passes).
Either way, the only chance Kap has is if Gabbert gets injured or struggles.
