Looks like Taylor is still catching up with the speed of the pro game. Don't think his never-fumbling-in-college (even while all the other RBs are having trouble hanging on to the ball) is enough to overcome that. Probably going to the PS.

Harris is like one of those classic English sports cars that's a blast to drive. But then will predictably break down 5 miles away before you get home. After a while you just get pissed off and get rid of the thing.

Christian Ponder - Playing against 3rd/4th stringers so its to be expected... probably plays before Driskel next week
Brandon Thomas - He looked good run blocking out there tonight. He should be ahead of Martin who should be gone for one of the last spots. The OL is so loaded we might have to go with Fahn Cooper a 5th round pick over him just because he was a recent draft pick and you dont see 5th rounders getting cut often. Just too deep at OL, maybe someone (or thomas) will get a bump and we can IR them and give Thomas one more year.
Jerome Simpson - just makes plays but not part of the future... wish a young guy would step up one of these preseasons.. been waiting forever. He might make it by default as nobody else can step up and consistently make plays. Maybe he makes it if Smelter goes to IR again. Burbage should be one spot by default... we really need to upgrade next year at WR (hopefully over ellington and patton too)
Garrison Smith - Hopefully he takes the last DL spot over TJE.
Nick Bellore - Definitely should be on the team as 3rd or 4th ILB. Armstrong or Wilhoite get the other spot, hopefully we are ready to move on from Wilhoite who was a nice find but is too old and slow even though he was slow to begin (like 4 years ago).
Marcus Rush - Too bad we have our 4 olb in Lynch, Brooks, Carradine and Harold. Maybe he can make another team.
McDonald - Might have made a case for #1 te over celek these past few games.
Robinson, Reaser- Gave up a couple 10-20 yard catches but had like 3 breakups. Reaser had 2 nice breakups in the end zone. Acker is falling but had the int at the end but might be too late for him since our CB spot is loaded.
FLAT
Harris, Davis - I think they make the team but they continue to fumble the ball. They look great running it at times but their fumbles have cost us numerous tds. I think Draughn is hurt by not playing and Taylor hasnt got much to work with behind that OL but continues to not impress.
ARROW DOWN
Guys who didnt play.. Kap, Draughn, Treggs, anyone else? You don't stay flat by not playing you lose ground.
Marcus Martin - Too bad because he had lots of potential but he hasn't gotten any better. Our OL is too deep to keep him.
Taylor - Guy has had horrible blocking in front of him but just still hasnt shown really anything. Also, running out of bounds to stop the clock will hurt his stock.

Hopefully we can contribute that to preseason football and being sloppy due to lack of game time. Out of everything in the 2 games that's whats concerned me the most by far. We have lost at least 9-21 points in 2 games on turnovers near the goal line. It's great that there have been few penalties, no delays of games, no wasted timeouts, better OL play, better DL play, better secondary play and so on but one thing that hasn't gotten better is ball security. Hopefully it's just due to the lack of contact as other teams struggle this for the first few weeks too. Hopefully we work on it too during practice. Turnovers could be the difference between a 4-5 win season and a 7-9 win season for this team.
