Yeah Harold didn't show any improvement at all. Tank had a pretty solid game I thought
Glad I'm not alone in thinking this thought he looked strong as a rusher.

A few observations:

- Appears to be a well-coached team. Just doing the little things... minimal penalties, no block in the back on Davis's long run (D. White I think?), no delay of game's, good tempo on both sides. For the most part, a well conditioned team.
- Trent Brown had some nice blocks but did appear to be a bit gassed on a few of those drives... seemed to be moving slow.
- Kilgore looked really nice at center and I thought Garnett/Tiller showed some nice pop at the guard positions.
- Wilhoite looked awful. Plain & simple
- Ray Ray Armstrong/Bellore stood out. I think one of those guy's wins that spot next to Bowman.
- DeForest Buckner didn't flash all that much. Limited sample with 19 snaps.
- Chris Davis looked strong. So did Brock. Blanket coverage from secondary.
- Backs looked tremendous, especially Davis. His body has completely been transformed. Quick & fast.
- Acker is horrible, still.
- Colin Kelly struggled.
- Driskel looked nervous, antsy and overthrew alot of balls.
- Fumble at the goal line was unacceptable in every sense of the word. Could cost Harris a job.

I still think startling o-line on opening day will be Staley - Beadles - Kilgore - Tiller - Davis (and eventually Garnett will supplant Beadles). Beadles & Trent Brown will make nice backups.

Very nice post. I agree with all of this except Beadles. I think he definitely stays in that starting spot for now but I'm not 100 percent convinced that he is still there on opening day.

Arrow down
Not much to take away from game 1 from my
perspective.

Up:

- Secondary - Defenses are vanilla and usually struggle in the preseason; however, the secondary held up very well.
That speaks to our depth.

- Oline - looked so much better. Garnett and Davis looked sharp considering it was the first game.

- RBs - Overall, good job running the ball. Nothing to get excited about though. Gaskins and Taylor have a long way to go.

Down:

- QBs - mediocre passing attack from the beginning.

- WRs - Too many drops and sloppy ply, not looking for the ball... Sloppy

Generally, for the 1st pre-season I will take that with a great deal of pleasure. The only real disappointment is Patton. The clock must be ticking for him. Acker and Pinion need to put some work in.

Yeah, Simpson - Smith - Ellington should end up being your starters. Patton is on the bubble as a tweener with concentration issues.

Sounds like Patton needs some of Lynch's Adderall

Davis looked good, but he is basically just a nickel corner. Unless Redmond struggles in that role, I see him getting cut.
Even if Carloe

CB position will definitely be tuff to decide on. Alot of good young talent. Might be able to use one of them as trade bait
