But on a serious note, that sucks, I had Dish for about a year, and they drop channels all the time, DirecTV hardly ever drops a channel. I'd recommend DirecTV. Even if I lived in Bay Area I would still have them, I live in NY where there are no 49ers games on TV, so DirecTV is a must.

I'm a baller on a budget so direct TV is out of the question for me

how about Sony VUE? $30-$40 a month. you don't need a PlayStation for it. Fire TV Stick ($35), Android Box, Roku or PlayStation 3 or 4.... or Chromecast Stick ($35)

you need internet though.

but you can get local channels in HD and almost every other channel for a price way better than Cable or Directv.

no NFL Network though... but you can purchase NFL Ticket separately when the season starts.

I don't understand the big deal here. If you have Dish, you just log into the Fox Sports app and stream it on your TV using Chromecast.

I live in a rural area and stuck with limited bandwidth, 20 gigs/month can't support streaming 4 nfl games.

The only option is either over the air antenna, or getting another provider, like DirecTV. Dish is notorious for dropping channels, and never adding them back, in NY, Dish doesn't even offer MSG, SNY, and has never offered YES Network. The other 2 were dropped a few years back, and no sign of them again.

Dish is one of the worst companies when it comes to this, I switched due to no YES Network, and poor service.

I also have dish and noticed that fox has been out for awhile. I hope it comes back for football season or I'll be very upset.

I'm losing hope for the antenna option. I checked out the one MuggD posted and it looked cool, window mount, military technology etc but when I gave my location to the website it said I could only get one local channel and not Fox.

When I bought this house there was an old antenna about 100 ft up a doug fir tree that probably worked ok years ago but it came down with the tree a few years ago.

Must be thousands of Dish customers in the Sierra foothills that are affected by this BS. There's just no line of sight to Sacramento and most of us are just happy to have a working satellite dish.

I don't have cable, I just use a rabbit ear antenna. it works fine, but I don't live in the foothills.

Yeah, that's rough, being out there. It's pure BS that the station and DISH can't come to an agreement, when local channels go missing then that's a bigger issue than say a AMC, or other major network. I've never had an issue with DirecTV and them dropping channels, like I said I had them when they dropped SNY, and then after I switched back to DirecTV, they dropped MSG, and have never had YES Network, which is a no-no for us, as we're Yankees fans.

If you do decide, let me know I'll be glad to give you my account number, and you get $10 off a month for 10 months with DirecTV. I wish I knew how long the the station would be blacked out, sucks with football season 49 days away(give or take a few days).

That's the issue living out in like the boonies, my Dad's GF's cousin, lived out in the boonies in West Virginia, and had to have Dish network, due to no cable companies, also it's tough to get a signal for certain cell phone providers, he had either Verizon or AT&T for that.

Do you live near a major city? I may just get rabbit ear antenna and save some money
I do a fair amout of consulting for Mative American Casinos.

If there is one near you, they almost always carry the games and basically- it's for free.

They usually have multiple screens that show other games at the same time.

Many serve very good food at affordable prices.

Hope this helps.
Thanks to all for your help and suggestions. I'll figure something out and maybe Dish and Tribune will figure something out as the season gets closer.

This effects 13 Fox markets nationwide and most are in or around an NFL city so I'm still hopeful.
